This position is located in Herndon, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, for the Diplomatic Technology (DT). This initiative is intended to modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework to better support the services provided to CA’s customers.\nThis role requires excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a large, diverse program. As part of your responsibilities, you will build and execute manual test steps, automated test scripts, contribute to Agile development efforts and help ensure high-quality software delivery. This position is ideal for early career engineers who are eager to learn, grow, and make an impact.\nWork Location: This is a hybrid position with a requirement to work on-site three days per week in Herndon, VA\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nUsing acceptance criteria, create and execute test steps and conduct manual testing on software applications\nWork within an Agile Team to plan and develop automated test scripts to support the integration testing requirements of the teams you support.\nCreate, execute, and maintain automated tests using modern frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.\nCollaborate with developers and testers to validate APIs, web services, and system integrations.\nDOSCSM\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nU.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance\nBachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience, or a Masters Degree and 0 years of experience\nGood knowledge of functional, environmental, operational, and performance testing.\nProblem-solving skills to isolate and document issues and defects.\nAbility to program in text-based languages and object-oriented languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).\nExperience in an agile testing environment including Test-Driven Development (TDD).\nExposure to software engineering principles and basic test automation concepts\nPreferred Qualifications:\nActive Secret Clearance (or higher). Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
