Visit peraton.com to learn how we’re keeping people around the world safe and secure.\nResponsibilities\nPeraton is seeking to hire a U.S. Army Behavioral Research Deputy Program Manager for a well-established applied research program based out of Columbus, GA.\nLocation: Columbus, GA. This will be primarily remote/telework, but the person must be local to the Columbus, GA location and able to go on-site regularly and as needed and travel up to 25%.\nIn this role, you will:\nBe a leading member of the research team, providing support across multiple projects for the U.S. Army Research Institute (ARI) and other government agencies.\nResponsibilities of this position include:\nManage and lead a multidisciplinary team that conducts 8-10 behavioral research projects annually using behavioral science principles, methodologies, and technologies in an applied government setting.\nServe as a Primary Investigator (PI) on multiple projects.\nProvide direct supervision of ~6 employees, including professional development, annual performance reviews, timecards, certifications, and other administrative supervisory tasks.\nBuild and maintain rapport with Contractor Officer Representatives, sub-contractors, and functional support staff.\nInterface with customers and sponsors to meet their requirements, including detailed coordination and briefings to Army leaders.\nLead business development through proposals and White Papers.\nConduct quality control and assurance of all research products and deliverables, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.\nPrepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports.\nAs required, support development of data collection instruments, collect field data, conduct interviews, enter data, conduct quality assurance checks on data, devise analytical approaches, and collate data from various sources.\nSupport the development of research results through briefings and technical reports.\nThe successful candidate must be proactive, well-organized, and adept at building and maintaining systems and processes for the team.\nThe position requires a high degree of professionalism, presence, flexibility, judgment, and discretion.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nMinimum of 10 years with MS/MA; 6 years with a PhD.\nMust have demonstrated experience supporting U.S. Army behavioral research projects in the areas of Soldier and Leader development, enhancing decision making, accelerated training and skill sustainment, and talent identification.\nU.S. citizenship required. \nAbility to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPhD in a Behavioral Science field such as Psychology or Sociology.\n Former Army field grade officer with relevant advanced degree (e.g., Psychology).\nExperience with data analysis and data visualization tools/platforms: R, Python, Power Bi, Army Vantage or be a former Army ORSA.\nActive DoD Secret security clearance.\nKey Attributes:\nAppreciation and passion for applied research and methodologies\nProblem Solver\nAttention to detail\nTeam player\nInitiative\nAdaptable and flexible\nTarget Salary Range\n$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
