You will be responsible for robot setup, basic configuration, testing, maintenance and on-site technical support. Working closely with the Event Manager and engineering teams, you will ensure robots are safely configured, tested and ready for live operation. This role suits a technically curious and reliable individual who enjoys working with emerging technology and learning new robotics platforms.\nKey Responsibilities:\nRobot Setup and Deployment:\nPrepare humanoid robots and supporting equipment for events and demonstrations.\nInspect robot condition, batteries, chargers, controllers, accessories and peripherals before deployment.\nSet up robot operating areas, network connectivity, power supplies and supporting equipment.\nComplete pre-event technical checks and readiness checklists.\nSupport equipment transportation, loading, setup, teardown and packing.\nMaintain equipment inventories and deployment records.\nConfiguration, Testing and Troubleshooting:\nPerform basic robot configuration using approved software, tools and procedures.\nConfigure operating parameters and event-specific settings.\nTest robot movement, sensors, communications, audio, displays and other supported functions.\nConduct rehearsals and functional checks before live operation.\nDiagnose and resolve first-level technical issues.\nEscalate hardware, software and robotics faults to the engineering team or suppliers.\nDance and Motion Content:\nPrepare and configure humanoid dance routines using the tools provided.\nDownload and deploy approved dance and motion content from designated platforms.\nVerify content compatibility and test routines before live deployment.\nMaintain a version-controlled library of approved routines.\nSupport rehearsals and adjust configurations to suit venue conditions and event requirements.\nEnsure only approved and tested motion content is used during live events.\nOn-site Event Support:\nOperate and monitor humanoid robots according to approved procedures.\nConduct pre-show checks and provide technical standby support during performances.\nRespond to operational issues and carry out recovery procedures safely.\nCoordinate with the Event Manager on show timing, technical readiness and operational limitations.\nMonitor connectivity, power availability, charging requirements and robot operating conditions throughout events.\nSafety and Risk Management:\nFollow robot safety procedures and operating guidelines.\nConduct and document pre-event safety checks.\nAssist with event-specific risk assessments and safety documentation.\nImplement operating boundaries, emergency stop arrangements and other required safety controls.\nMonitor risks arising from robot movement and interaction with the public.\nReport safety concerns, incidents and equipment faults promptly.\nTechnical Documentation:\nPrepare and maintain robot operation manuals, setup and teardown guides, troubleshooting guides and operating procedures.\nUpdate readiness checklists, equipment checklists, motion deployment procedures and event technical runbooks.\nMaintain document versions and ensure teams have access to the latest approved procedures.\nRecord lessons learned from events and incorporate improvements into documentation.\nMaintenance and Asset Management:\nPerform routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance.\nKeep batteries, chargers, controllers, cables and accessories in good working condition.\nRecord equipment faults, maintenance activities and repair requirements.\nMaintain inventories of equipment, accessories and spare parts.\nCoordinate repairs and specialist maintenance with engineering teams and suppliers.\nContinuous Improvement:\nIdentify recurring technical issues and recommend practical improvements.\nImprove deployment checklists, troubleshooting processes and standard operating procedures.\nLearn new robot capabilities, software tools and operating methods.\nWork with event and engineering teams to improve deployment efficiency and operational reliability.\nJob Requirements:\nRelevant experience in technical support, robotics, automation, equipment operations, audio-visual support or a related field.\nComfortable setting up and working with hardware, software and technical equipment.\nBasic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to follow technical procedures, safety requirements and checklists accurately.\nGood written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear technical documentation.\nStrong attention to detail, organisational skills and a responsible approach to equipment handling.\nAble to work independently and collaborate with event managers, engineers, clients and vendors.\nAble to remain calm and respond effectively to technical issues during live events.\nWilling to learn new robotics platforms and software tools.\nWilling to travel for deployments, events and demonstrations.\nWilling to work on-site, including evenings, weekends and public holidays when required.
