The UAS Field Service Technician is a hybrid Electro-Mechanical Tech who wants to get in on the ground floor of oilfield robotics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team in a customer-facing, project management, and nationwide operations role.\nJob Summary: In this position, you will be a part of our operations team, and you will be working independently with our customers in the State of Texas and throughout the U.S. You will play a critical role as our customers revolutionize the way they inspect and monitor vital infrastructure and assets. You will be mainly working in the field and work from the Operations Hub in Midland, TX when not at a customer site. You will cooperate with the operations, engineering, sales, and marketing teams for the ultimate goal of full product adaptation and paramount customer satisfaction.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the deployment, installation, and conduct the ongoing maintenance of Percepto's systems at client sites.\nTroubleshoot, test, repair, and maintain aerial and ground systems.\nIndependently plan and execute assigned activities, collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure successful completion.\nFollow company procedures and protocols and provide feedback for improvement. \nEnsure readiness and proper maintenance of all flight and testing equipment and tools\nEnsure all tasks are carried out in accordance with schedules and client expectations.\nSafely conduct operations, adhering to FAA, other local aviation regulations, OSHA regulations, and customer-specific safety protocols \nMaintain proper documentation of all work performed and timely provide status updates as required.\nParticipate in in-field testing of Percepto’s next-era autonomous robotic systems\nTest product capabilities and identify areas for improvement\nRequirements\nFAA Part 107 preferred, or the ability to pass the exam within the first 30 days of employment (paid for by the company)\nValid U.S. Driver's License and clean driving record (MVR) to operate company-provided field vehicle\nMust reside within 50 miles of the Midland, TX operations hub\nSafety Credentials: Mention that PEC/SafeLand SAFESTART certification, H2S Clear, and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)\nDaily drive-based travel to client sites & up to 25% flight-based travel\nAt least 1-2 years of proven technical record operating drones, or 2+ years of industrial technician experience (E&I, wind/solar, aviation mechanics, or diesel/heavy equipment)\nAt least 2 years of proven technician work experience (electrician, mechanic, assembly, repair ) \nAbility to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment\nAbility to work on some non-routine hours, and willingness to work overtime\nAbility to self-learn in a highly dynamic environment\nSuccessfully work both independently and as part of a team\nGreat customer-facing skills\nStrong communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation\nWillingness to work out in the field\nSelf-motivated, self-starter, energetic, assertive\nThermographer certification is a plus\nSpanish speaker - an advantage\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions( including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and humidity) and work environments where exposure to dust, dirt, and other outdoor elements is common\nAbility to lift and carry heavy objects, often ranging from 50 to 100 lbs, sometimes over uneven or rough terrain.\nFrequent bending, kneeling, crouching, or squatting to access and work on equipment located at ground level or in confined spaces.\nPhysical endurance to perform strenuous tasks for extended periods, including working in awkward or uncomfortable positions; reaching and working on equipment inside enclosures, cabinets, or elevated areas.\nRepetitive use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, and controls.
