At Perceptyne, we greatly value these dichotomies:\n· Having experience while not losing a first principles approach.\n· Having a large vision while not losing attention to detail\n· Working on disruptive tech while hitting the market ASAP\nRole Overview\nAs a mechanical design engineer, you will be involved in all phases of the new product development life cycle: Designing, Prototyping, Testing, and Manufacturing.\nYour everyday activities would include: system/sub-system level discussions, concept development, CAD design, FEA analysis, DFM analysis, prototyping, manufacturing, assembly, testing and production scale-up.\nSkills & Requirements\nExperience Requirements:\nA BTech/MTech degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Design Engineering\n>7 years of experience designing and building mechanical systems\n Technical skill Requirements\nStrong intuition for relevant math & physics\ngeometry, trigonometry, calculus\nkinematics, dynamics, and material properties\nStrong fundamentals of mechanical engineering\napplied mechanics, strength of materials, component sizing, linkages & mechanisms, DFM, manufacturing methods, GD&T.\nStrong working knowledge of static and dynamic FEA on any simulation software (Ansys or Abaqus)\nGood knowledge of vendor ecosystem & offerings, manufacturer ecosystem & capabilities, industry standards etc.\nHighly proficient with at least one 3D CAD software (preferably Fusion 360)\nStrong understanding of gear trains -
