The role involves supervising the assembly and testing team, troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analysis, developing fixtures, analyzing test reports, and implementing efficient assembly strategies.\nThe ideal candidate should be strong in reading engineering drawings, applying basic problem-solving principles, and developing practical solutions for assembly and testing challenges.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nManage and supervise the assembly and testing teams to meet production, quality and delivery objectives. \nExecute assembly and testing activities as per processes, specifications and requirements provided by the R&D team. \nTroubleshoot issues encountered during assembly, testing and product integration. \nConduct root cause analysis for recurring assembly and testing problems. \nImplement corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and process reliability. \nRead and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, assembly drawings and related documentation. \nDevelop fixtures, jigs, gauges and tools required for assembly and testing activities. \nCoordinate with the R&D, Design, Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues. \nMaintain, review and analyze assembly and test reports. \nIdentify trends, deviations and failure patterns from test data and recommend suitable improvements. \nDevelop effective assembly strategies for new and existing products. \nIdentify requirements for Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) and coordinate their development or procurement. \nSupport the installation, commissioning, validation, and improvement of SPMs used for assembly. \nImprove assembly processes to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency. \nPrepare and maintain work instructions, process documents, checklists, and standard operating procedures. \nTrain team members on assembly methods, testing procedures, safety practices, and quality requirements. \nEnsure adherence to workplace safety, quality standards, and production procedures. \nCoordinate with suppliers and external agencies when required for fixtures, tooling, testing equipment, and SPM development. \nSkills / Requirements:\n Experience Requirements: \nBachelors / master’s in mechanical / Mechatronics / Industrial Engineering \n>5 years of experience in production engineering, assembly and testing. \nTechnical skill Requirements: \nExperience in fixture, jig and tooling design and development. \nFamiliarity with mechanical assembly, electromechanical systems and functional testing. \nExposure to CAD software and basic design-for-assembly principles. \nKnowledge of structured problem-solving methods such as 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, 8D or Pareto analysis. \nWorking knowledge of productivity and process-improvement techniques. \nStrong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents. \nPractical knowledge of assembly process, testing methods, fixtures, tooling and production equipment. \nSoft skill Requirements \nPassionate about Robotics & DIY projects \nSystematic approach to work, documentation, and tracking. \nBe resourceful,
