That's Perdue.\nSummary\nPlay a vital role in keeping our operations running by ensuring livestock receives the nutrition they need, right on schedule. As a Feed Delivery Driver, you will safely and accurately load and deliver feed to assigned customers, working closely with dispatch to meet daily delivery priorities. You will also serve as an extra set of eyes for our fleet, identifying and communicating maintenance or repair needs to help keep equipment reliable and operations moving smoothly.\nPrincipal Essential Duties & Responsibilities\nEnsure timely and accurate delivery of feed according to dispatcher scheduling.\nPerform a pre-trip truck inspection according to a DOT sheet, reporting any deficiencies to proper fleet mechanics.\nEnsure the correct weight of feed is loaded into the truck and the truck and correct weight is delivered to the farm locations.\nAccurately operate boom to cleanly direct the feed into the holding bin assuring that feed is not spilled onto bin or ground, report spills and problems to the Mill Manager or dispatcher.\nEnsure accurate recordkeeping of fuel purchases, trip tickets, daily logs and time sheets, no hold and feed pick up.\nMay need to climb truck (15 ft) to direct loading and occasionally uses a #5 sledgehammer to remove stuck feed as necessary.\nPerform other duties as required.\nMinimum Education and Experience\nHigh School or equivalent.\nClass A CDL license.\n2+ years of CDL A driving, preferably delivering feed.\nReading, writing and math skills.\nPhysical Requirements and Environmental Factors\nIn a stationary or moving position on a wet or moist, dry or dusty, or dirty, or greasy floor with metal or plastic grating surface. \nMust have the ability to climb stairs, upon equipment, tractor and trailer, catwalks and work from various ladders.\nNoise exposure level of >110 dB.\nLight intensity range of Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distance, degrees, angle, weight, height, longest interval of time, objects grasped and body positions depend upon the task being performed and/ or the hand tools being used. \nMust be able to lift and control weights up to 10 pounds.\nMust be able to bend down and maintain a kneeling position. \nMust be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.\nExposure to 5 PPM of ammonia vapors, caustic detergents, lubricating oils and other chemicals found in a live poultry processing operation. \nMay be required to wear disposable coveralls and disposable footwear covering for bio-security purposes.\nPersonal protective equipment /devices as required by Perdue.\nPerdue Farms Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
