As a Maintenance Planner Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring maintenance activities are planned, scheduled, and executed safely and effectively to maximize equipment performance and plant reliability. You will develop detailed work packages, coordinate labor, materials, tools, permits, and resources, and create time-phased maintenance plans that support Reliability Excellence processes. Partnering closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams, you will help optimize maintenance strategies, improve work execution, and maintain accurate equipment and job plan data. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented leader who enjoys solving complex challenges, collaborating across teams, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nSchedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm\nPrincipal Essential Duties & Responsibilities\nDevelop plans for all maintenance activities, including maintenance of Maximo and preventive maintenance system data and reporting.\nAnalyze data for use in maintenance planning and scheduling.\nMaintain and develop best practices for preventive maintenance.\nEnsure continuous review of preventive maintenance work orders as they relate to equipment history.\nRecommend modifications to optimize equipment reliability and maintenance labor utilization.\nLearn universal maintenance standards to develop reasonable expectations for the time required to complete maintenance tasks.\nIdentify and label all new equipment in accordance with company standards and keep records current.\nUse key performance indicators to provide fact-based feedback to management.\nPlan maintenance work with regard to the skill level and safety training required to complete tasks.\nReview SAP and Maximo data from other locations with similar equipment and report findings and recommendations.\nAdminister maintenance shift scheduling, work order backlog, and planning for scheduled downtime work, including parts availability.\nInterface with Engineering, local management, Operations Support, corporate departments, and outside entities on special projects as necessary.\nCoordinate with Operations Support regarding reports used to develop, track, and communicate results to management.\nDevelop a time-phased plan of activities indicating what is to be done, when, by whom, and with what equipment.\nMake decisions regarding the allocation of available capacity and resources, including equipment, labor, and space, to jobs, activities, and tasks over time.\nMinimum Education and Experience\nCollege degree or equivalent experience.\n6-8 years of experience.\nEstimate and initiate work orders for maintenance notifications and provide maintenance support for equipment reliability planning and site emergencies.\nLead weekly maintenance meetings involving all manufacturing site groups.\nSubmit the weekly maintenance planning schedule and associated completion report.\nPrepare, forecast, and explain cost variances for maintenance work.\nManage the procurement of equipment, materials, and outside services for maintenance work.\nManage repairs, purchases, invoices, and receipts for maintenance needs within the plant.\nKit backlog maintenance work for utilization as fill-in work and review backlog maintenance notifications in Maximo.\nDevelop and maintain maintenance documentation and manage updated bills of materials for all equipment.\nPreferred Education and Experience\nSpecialized training or education (post-high school) in maintenance.\nPhysical Requirements and Environmental Factors\nWhen in a plant environment:\nExposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors, including metal and plastic grating surfaces.\nMay be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with ambient conditions and up to 100% humidity.\nMay handle product temperatures from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.\nMay be exposed to noise levels ranging from 50 dB to 110 dB.\nMay be exposed to dust, feathers, and chemicals used in a poultry food processing facility.
