In this role, you will support essential production and distribution operations by working with raw and or cooked packaged products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You may assist with setting up production lines, palletizing, picking, sanitation, box room operations, and handling totes, all while following safety and quality standards. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands on work, take pride in doing things the right way, and want to contribute to a team that values consistency, teamwork, and operational excellence.\nSchedule: Monday through Saturday, 3:15pm-1:00M\nPrincipal Essential Duties & Responsibilities\nWorks at various stations along the production line processing poultry food products\nOperates machinery and equipment in accordance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.\nMaintains a clean and organized work area to uphold food safety standards.\nCollaborates with team members to achieve production targets.\nParticipates in company and department safety programs.\nPreferred Education and Experience\nHigh School or equivalent not required but preferred.\nExperience in a distribution warehouse.\nPhysical Requirements and Environmental Factors\nWhen in a plant environment:\nAbility to tolerate exposure to wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.\nAbility to stand for an extended period and perform repetitive tasks.\nAbility to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs by reaching, bending, and pushing boxes.\nAbility to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection as required.\nMay work in an environment with varying temperatures between 28 degrees and 100 degrees Fahrenheit.\nMay handle product varying in temperatures between 25 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.\nMay be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.\nMay be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.\nOccasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.\nPerdue Farms Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
