That's Perdue.\nSummary\nJoin our team as a Safety Supervisor and play a key role in keeping our operations safe, compliant, and running strong. In this leadership role, you will guide and support plant safety efforts during an off shift or designated operational area, partnering closely with site leadership to promote a culture of safety. You will help drive safety training, support new associate ramp-in, and reinforce safe work practices across the facility, making a meaningful impact on associate well-being and overall operational performance.\nPrincipal Essential Duties & Responsibilities\nProvide on-the-job training and follow-up on hazardous communication, safety, ergonomics, and other subjects with associates throughout the facility. This includes new associate orientation (whether directly hired or through a temp agency) as well as Job Safety Analysis (JSA).\n\nEducate facility associates, primarily salaried leaders, on safety principals and provide leadership, technical advice, and support to initiatives and projects which enhance safe efficient, high-quality operations.\n\nConduct daily JSA audits and report findings to safety and operations teams along with corrective actions and re-training that is needed.\n\nAssist Safety & Security (S&S) Manager in interviewing associates and gathering information on incidents and near misses and completed root cause analysis.\n\nAttend and provide safety perspectives for safety meetings, PSM meetings or any other safety-related meetings that occur.\n\nAssist the S&S Manager in responding to associates’ needs and concerns for safety issues as they arise.\n\nAssist the S&S Manager by taking & posting meeting notes for the safety committee meetings.\n\nMaintain oversight and training for operational safety leads (OSL) and safety trainers on day and night Shift.\n\nAssist in Corp Safety Audit and safety related documentation.\n\nSupport the site security contractors and initiatives.\n\nOther duties as deemed necessary by the S&S Manager or Corporate Safety.\n\nMinimum Education and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or Occupational Health & Safety or 3-5-years work experience in operational safety within Perdue Farms’ industrial safety organization and current enrollment in an EH&S or safety related degree program.\n\nPreferred Education and Experience\nSafety professional certification or 2-5 years’ experience within manufacturing functioning as a Safety Manager.\n\nPhysical Requirements and Environmental Factors\nThis position operates in a climate-controlled office environment.\n\nMust be able to communicate on the telephone and use standard office equipment.\n\nMust be able to move freely throughout the facility.\n\nMust be able to travel to remote Company and customer locations for audits and training.\n\nWhen in plant environment:\nExposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.\n\nMay be exposed to temperatures of -10 degree to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.\n\nMay handle products 0 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.\n\nMay be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.\n\nMay be exposed to all chemicals found in poultry, food and processing plant.\n\nMust wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company\n\nPerdue Farms Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
