As a Soy Merchandiser, you will focus on optimizing soy hull values while supporting broader trading efforts, including soybean meal execution. You will collaborate closely with commercial, operations, transportation, and trade teams to coordinate logistics, monitor market conditions, and ensure contracts are executed efficiently. This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys market analysis and relationship building, and is motivated to deliver results that support overall business performance.\nThe salary range for this position is $78,000 - $116,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).\nIn addition to the base salary, Perdue offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/Rx, 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, critical illness, accident insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, optional group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability protection, flexible spending accounts and paid time off.\nSchedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm\nPrincipal Essential Duties & Responsibilities\nManage and execute the merchandising of the soy hull position while providing support for the broader soy complex products to maximize value for PAB crush network.\nManage daily trade execution and logistics coordination in fulfillment of contract terms for internal and external customers.\nMonitor positions, inventories, and commercial issues impacting internal and external customers.\nCoordinate closely with operations, trade execution, transportation, support services, hedge desk, and accounting to ensure efficient execution of contracts and reliable service to customers.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, both internally and externally.\nManage daily trade execution and logistics coordination in fulfillment of contract terms for internal and external customers.\nExecute routine merchandising functions including contract maintenance, pricing updates, position tracking, and coordination of trade execution activities.\nCollaborate with other internal merchandising teams to optimize the value of the soy complex and maximize trading opportunities for PAB.\nCommunicate proactively with Trading Team daily execution updates, product availability insights, and logistical/ transportation constraints.\nProvide market information and any critical updates to leadership to support commercial decision making.\nSupport the development of new markets, customers, and opportunities as the soy complex portfolio expands.\nPrepare reports, forecasts, and market updates to support internal planning, commercial visibility, and management decision making.\nIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance execution efficiency and customer satisfaction.\nOther ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.\nMinimum Education and Experience\nAn ideal candidate should have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.\nThe candidate should express a desire to continuously improve and maximize margins while providing superior customer service to internal and external customers.\nThis person should be highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nThis person should have strong organizational and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively across teams.\nPreferred Education and Experience\nBachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field.\n2-5 years of experience in merchandising, trading, execution, logistics, or operations (preferably in Ag commodities or feed ingredients).\nPhysical Requirements and Environmental Factors\nPosition is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.\nMay need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.\nMay need to access files, supplies and equipment.\nWork activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.\nOvernight Travel is estimated to be between 15-25%.\nPerdue Farms Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
