The retirement party. The rehearsal dinner. The offsite where a team that has only met over video finally sits at one table.\nSomeone has to make those gatherings happen, and today that person is drowning. Private events and group dining are an $80 billion market in the United States, and most of it still runs on email chains and spreadsheets or legacy software.\nAt Perfect Venue we are on a mission to bring communities together by making it effortless to plan events. We combine intuitive software with AI agents that make it easy for venues to increase sales, save hours every week, and bring their communities together.\nWe are backed by top investors and operators like the Hustle Fund, Defy.vc, Amity Ventures and are used by thousands of venues nationwide from Michelin star restaurants to your favorite bar.\nAbout the Role\nWe are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to get our AI features working for real venues. We've launched agents that help our customers send messages, build menus, and more. Every venue runs its business differently, and the gap between a feature that works in general and one that works for a specific customer is where you come in.\nThis role is based in San Francisco, in office 5 days per week so that you can work closely with sales, customer success, and engineering. Expect regular time on-site with customers.\nWhat you'll own\nYou own AI adoption for our customers end to end.\nEmbed. Work directly with restaurants and venues to learn how they handle inquiries, menus, and follow-up. Find where our AI falls short for them.\n\nCustomize. Customize the AI features to our customers needs so that they can be successful.\n\nDrive adoption. Track and improve customizations so that they drive real outcomes for our customers.\n\nFeed the product. Turn patterns across customers into improvements for the core product. Bring engineering the problems worth solving for everyone. Help write evals to improve performance.\n\nWhat we're looking for\nYou love working with customers, but also have a technical background\n\nYou have built products where AI features are core to the user experience\n\nYou are familiar with LLM observability tools\n\nYou have been a founder or worked at an early stage startup\n\nYou have a strong sense of urgency and move quickly\n\nBonus: experience in hospitality, restaurants, or events\n\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive compensation including meaningful equity you’ll actually be able to use\n\nMedical, vision, and dental with paid premiums for you, cost-sharing for dependents\n\nFlexible PTO & 401(k)\n\nDaily lunches when onsite\n\nUnlimited book budget\n\nCompany laptop\n\nComplimentary One Medical membership for you and your family\n\nPerfect Venue is committed to building a winning team\nWe provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibit discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. We will work to provide reasonable accommodations to applicants with physical and mental disabilities.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3287,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Equity"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Event Management"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-12T07:18:03Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":79,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.786,"p_room":1,"age_days":13,"expected_fill_days":43,"reasons":["conf:2","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-26T05:57:25Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/perfect-venue-forward-deployed-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/perfect-venue-forward-deployed-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-26T11:49:26Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":16120,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-27T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":1802119},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=1802119"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fperfect-venue-forward-deployed-engineer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fperfect-venue-forward-deployed-engineer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fperfect-venue-forward-deployed-engineer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/perfect-venue-forward-deployed-engineer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fperfect-venue-forward-deployed-engineer"}]}
