We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic EHS Associate to join our growing team.\nShift: 1st, Monday - Friday\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nThe HSE Associate supports the day-to-day execution and administration of site Health, Safety and Environmental programs. The role is responsible for completing assigned inspections, audits, training, documentation, compliance tracking, corrective action follow-up, and other routine HSE activities that support a safe and compliant workplace.\nThe HSE Associate is expected to:\nFoster active employee engagement in safe work practices. \nSupport implementation and day-to-day administration of established HSE programs. \nConduct routine inspections and audits and track corrective actions through completion. \nUnder the direction of the HS&E Manager conduct risk assessments, incident reviews, training, and compliance activities. \nMaintain accurate HSE records, documentation, permits, and system information. \nMonitor routine compliance requirements and escalate overdue or higher-risk items. \nProvide HSE support to employees, supervisors, and contractors on established site requirements. \nParticipate in continuous improvement activities and other assigned HSE initiatives. \nWHAT WE NEED FROM YOU\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required. \nPrevious experience in a manufacturing or production environment required. \nExperience working in plant operations with exposure to safe work practices and day-to-day production activities. \nDemonstrated history of following established procedures, identifying concerns, and escalating issues appropriately. \nPrevious participation in safety-related activities. \nExperience communicating and working effectively with employees, supervisors, and support functions. \nAbility to manage multiple assignments and follow actions through completion. \nDemonstrated ability to learn new processes and systems. \nExperience working independently within established procedures and recognizing when additional guidance or technical support is needed. \nPrior formal HSE experience is not required. \nAssociate degree, technical education, safety coursework, or related education preferred but not required. \nFirst Aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred or ability to obtain certification after hire. \nBilingual Spanish and English communication skills preferred. \nWHAT WE OFFER\nAt Perfetti Van Melle, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace, where all individuals, regardless of background or identity, are valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives to the sweet success of our candy-loving community.
