Training on 1st shift.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nThe Facilities Operator/Mechanic Worker will perform maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. Works with the Facilities Manager, Facilities Operator/Maintenance Lead, and other Facilities Operator Mechanic’s and other Facilities General Maintenance Colleagues. Takes instruction from Facilities Manager, Facilities Operator Maintenance Lead, and Facilities Operators Maintenance. Additional responsibilities include:\nCo-ordinate the execution of Building Maintenance program, Facilities maintenance program, and assists when requested in the Processing and Packaging maintenance programs\nUses IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 sigma ways of working: delivering zero breakdowns via preventive/predictive maintenance strategies and technical mastery of maintenance and operation teams; PM (ProgressiveMaintenance) Pillar, and CBM (condition-based monitoring), Visual controls & tools Mgmt., Loss elimination, Lubrication mgmt. & Calibration of equipment(s) etc.\n\nRole model Values and principles through effective coaching, and building capability of Operating teams via specific training on routine maintenance, equipment breakdown and CIL techniques\nInterface with key stakeholders internally & externally to develop and maintain effective relationships, align priorities to deliver the company objectives, and goals.\nHas general knowledge of proper use of power and hand tools.\nHas demonstrated mechanical aptitude and understands basic mechanical concepts.\nIs capable of advanced mechanical repairs - including bearing & shaft removal & installation, machine assembly and disassembly. \nIs capable of advanced repairs to plumbing, heating and cooling systems and facility related mechanical repairs\nWHAT WE NEED FROM YOU\n3 yrs. Experience in a Maintenance Role or equally demonstrated mechanical/electrical skills.\nThe capability to read written instruction that include the use of our CMMS (SAP & UpKeep)\nComputer proficiency (MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & experience in ERP systems. Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written), Analytical & Problem-solving skills, strong collaboration and relationship management skills.\nThe capability to lead as well as be coached by others using the next level work processes while utilizing the PDCA-Plan Do Check Adjust approach.\nMust be available to work any shift and must be able to work weekends.\nMust have strong writing, verbal and interpersonal skills.\nCommunicates with all levels of the organization, from hourly production staff to corporate officers.\nMust be a proven leader with a track record of developing skills of individuals and nurturing cooperation within teams.\nMust be a self-starter and able to manage multiple critical activities simultaneously.\nOperates machine tools including; lathe, mill, welder, grinder, saws and press.\nMaintains safe and clean work environment following all OSHA, GMP, FDA guidelines.\nExposure to noise and dust and other raw materials. May be required to handle caustic chemicals with proper PPE.
