The individual will uphold the highest standards of judgment, integrity, and ethical leadership while managing risk, developing a high-performing team, and supporting Perforce’s business objectives.\nWorking closely with the US-based contracts team and cross-functional stakeholders - including Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Success, Customer Support, Professional Services, Information Security, Finance, and Revenue Operations - the Manager will ensure global contracting alignment, effective contract negotiation, and compliance with contractual obligations. The position reports to the Managing Counsel in the United States\nWhat You'll Do:\nServe as the first Legal Team hire in Pune and build, hire, onboard, train, mentor, and lead a local commercial contracts team while driving a collaborative and high-performing team culture.\nManage the legal request queue from Sales through Salesforce, triage and prioritise incoming work, balance workloads, monitor service levels and turnaround times, and act as the primary escalation point for complex legal, commercial, and negotiation matters.\nDraft, review, negotiate, and execute complex commercial agreements, including on-premise software licences, SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, channel and partner agreements, data processing agreements, and other contracts supporting go-to-market activities.\nPartner closely with US-based legal colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders to align negotiation standards, playbooks, approval processes, contract governance, legal operations, AI-enabled workflow improvements, contract repository management, and risk-based commercial decision-making.\nWhat You'll Bring:\nUndergraduate degree required; law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) preferred, with at least 10 years of hands-on experience drafting and negotiating technology, software licensing, cloud-hosted software, SaaS, and platform-as-a-service agreements.\nAt least 3 years of people-management experience, including direct leadership of contracts professionals, with demonstrated success building, scaling, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing high-performing teams.\nExperience managing high-volume legal intake processes within Salesforce, a contract lifecycle management platform, or a similar system, together with strong commercial negotiation skills across enterprise software transactions, revenue models, risk assessment, and global contracting practices.\nExcellent drafting, communication, leadership, project-management, and organisational skills; experience working in-house for a global technology company strongly preferred.
