P4 DAM is our enterprise-grade media and asset management solution built on top of Helix Core, used by global game studios, design teams, and VFX organizations.\nIn this role, you will work with a geo-distributed engineering team to build, enhance, and support high-performance backend services in a modern Ruby on Rails stack. You will be responsible for designing, developing, upgrading, optimizing, testing, and supporting backend components that power mission-critical digital asset workflows. The ideal candidate is a strong Ruby engineer with hands-on experience in backend architecture, scalability, security, and system reliability. This role offers high ownership and the opportunity to influence the technical direction of P4 DAM.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain backend services in Ruby on Rails for P4 DAM.\nBuild and optimize REST APIs and workflows integrated with Helix Core (P4).\nImplement features, automation, and tests independently while delivering customer value.\nLead and support Rails upgrades, package updates, and vulnerability/security patching.\nEnsure timely delivery of high-quality enterprise software across supported platforms.\nImprove system performance, scalability, and reliability.\nDebug complex backend issues and perform detailed root-cause analysis.\nSupport continuous improvement of engineering processes, code quality, communication, and tooling.\nParticipate in architectural discussions and influence long-term technical decisions.\nCollaborate closely with Product, DevOps, QA, Support, and UI teams.\nRequirements:\nBS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.\n7+ years of professional backend development experience.\nStrong hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.\nExperience with MongoDB, Redis, and Linux environments.\nFamiliarity with Docker and docker-compose.\nExperience with Rails framework upgrades, dependency management, and security patching.\nStrong understanding of how to engineer products using latest AI trends.\nFundamental knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred).\nExperience using CI/CD systems such as Jenkins.\nExperience writing tests and using testing frameworks such as RSpec.\nStrong understanding of backend performance, scalability, and secure coding practices.\nExcellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to work independently and take end-to-end ownership. \nNice to have\nExperience with Helix Core (P4) or other version control systems.\nKnowledge of Elasticsearch.\nFamiliarity with REST APIs, WebSockets, and frontend technologies (React/Ember).\nExposure to Golang.\nExperience with Kubernetes or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).\nFamiliarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins.\nBuilds and maintains simple no-code or low-code AIautomations, documents workflows and guardrails, and applies human-in-the-loop and ethical
