Accounting Assistant Manager

On behalf of a professional services firm based in Nicosia, we are seeking an Accounting Assistant Manager to support a diverse range of responsibilities to ensure the successful completion of accounting engagements and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of financial and operational plans
• Assist in overseeing daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting
• Supervise and review junior team members, providing guidance and feedback
• Prepare and review VAT returns, VIES forms, and other statutory submissions
• Assist in preparing and analysing management reports, budgets, and financial statements
• Liaise with tax authorities and external stakeholders on routine matters
• Provide clients with support on accounting, VAT, and compliance issues
• Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication
• Support project monitoring, invoicing, and follow-up on receivables
• Contribute to financial reporting and insights for senior management
• Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the management from time to time.

Requirements

• ACA/ACCA qualified with a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Over 4 years of audit experience, including at least 1 year post-qualification
• Strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills; able to handle pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills in Greek and English; knowledge of Russian or another language is an advantage
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adept at problem-solving and critical thinking
• IT literate with the ability to maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• High integrity and a positive, can-do attitude.
