Working as part of a cross-functional squad, you'll design and deliver scalable, high-performance user interfaces that serve millions of users, while helping drive frontend best practices, performance, accessibility, and consistency across our platform.\nWhat you’ll be responsible for:\nDevelop and maintain responsive user-facing features using React.js, React Native, and TypeScript.\n\nTranslate wireframes and design prototypes into high-quality, reusable code.\n\nBuild and maintain modular frontend components and libraries to promote consistency and scalability\n\nCollaborate on frontend solutions across both web and mobile applications, ensuring performance, usability, and consistency\n\nManage complex data flows using Apollo and modern state management practices\n\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and adopt emerging technologies\n\nOptimise applications for performance across browsers, devices, and screen sizes\n\nWrite clean, maintainable, and testable code, including unit and UI integration tests\n\nCollaborate closely with backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences\n\nParticipate in sprint planning, code reviews, and agile ceremonies\n\nDiagnose and resolve performance issues, bugs, and frontend reliability challenges\n\nWork Mode & Salary:\nRemote working within Bulgaria only. We do have an office in Plovdiv should you wish to work hybrid.\n\nGross annual salary: €50,000 to €56,000 based on experience.\n\nSkills and experience required:\n4+ years of commercial experience building frontend applications with React\n\nStrong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS\n\n1+ year of React Native experience (backed by a strong React and TypeScript foundation)\n\nExperience working with Apollo or similar state and data management solutions\n\nProven ability to build reusable components and frontend libraries\n\nExperience translating designs and wireframes into polished user experiences\n\nStrong understanding of frontend performance optimisation techniques across web and mobile applications\n\nExperience using Git and collaborative development workflows\n\nBroad understanding of modern web architectures and development best practices\n\nExposure to AI-enabled development tools and workflows\n\nInterview Process\nOnline interview with the Senior Talent Advisor\n\n75-minute technical interview with Engineering Leads\n\n45-minute final interview with the Director of Engineering\n\nDiversity & Inclusion:\nAt Perkbox, we’re committed to building an inclusive workplace for all.
