The role is responsible for all aspects of Materials Management including support of Pharmaceutical Development and other Pre-Clinical customers. A successful candidate should have great attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, the ability to communicate effectively and work independently.\nJob Responsibilities:\nPrepare and pack goods for national and international shipping. \nInventory management of bulk reagents, including control of chemicals. \nTesting for quality control using customer systems. \nSampling of materials and performing raw material acceptance testing. \nReceive, check and track materials into and out of laboratories using customer systems. \nCollect and transfer waste to central area. \nMonitor project specific materials, keeping project leaders informed. \nGenerate and analyze inventory use reports. \nOrganize warehouse chemicals based on frequency of use. \nObserve all safety precautions and be proactive in raising safety concerns. \nComplete all required trainings in a timely manner. \nMaintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment \nNothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities of this job at any time .\nCritical Skills\nAbility to follow oral and written directions. \nDemonstrates appropriate use of relevant equipment/software after training. \nExcellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. \nExcellent customer service skills complemented by an ability to listen to and interpret client requests. \nMS Office Skills: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word. \nBasic Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent \nPreferred Qualifications:\nFork-lift operator certification \nKnowledge of supply chain management \nBox truck driving experience \nWorking Environment:\nMust be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) in laboratory. \nJob pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high. \nMust be able to remain in a stationary position more than 25% of the time \nThe person needs to occasionally move between labs, corridors, adjoining rooms, and buildings onsite Frequently operate on instruments, objects, tools or controls, which will require regularly bending, squatting, stretching and reaching in order to perform in a service function. \nOccasionally move or lift up to 25 pounds (potential for occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds). \nSpecific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position. \nOccasionally operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. \nEmployee may be required to handle hazardous waste according to local, state, and federal regulations. Duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing and labeling hazardous waste. \nPotential risk to lab-based hazards including but not limited to extreme temperature, biological materials, and hazardous chemicals. \nMay be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing to wear a respirator as protection against hazards present in the laboratory environment. \nThe annual compensation range for this full-time position is $40,000 to $60,000.
