The role stays with the suppliers throughout their visit, from arrival to departure, ensuring that required documentation and approvals are prepared, that suppliers are safely guided around the site, and that all work is carried out in a safe and compliant manner. The role is responsible for making sure that suppliers follow all applicable safety rules, including laboratory safety, site rules and IT/security policies.\nThe role works closely with senior engineers, collaborating on simple repair jobs and planned maintenance while continuously learning and developing skills.\nThe position suits a technically interested, service-minded person who is willing to learn and take on more responsibility over time.\nJob Responsibilities\nSupport internal stakeholders in the planning and coordination of supplier visits.\nPrepare and handle visit-related documentation (e.g. access, safety briefings, basic risk information).\nWelcome, register and introduce suppliers to site and laboratory rules.\nEscort suppliers throughout the day to and from laboratories and technical areas and act as main day-to-day contact.\nMonitor supplier activities to ensure compliance with all safety rules, including lab, site and IT/security policies, and correct use of PPE.\nCoordinate with laboratory staff to minimize disruption to ongoing operations.\nAssist suppliers with lifts and other physical handling of equipment, in line with local health and safety limits and guidelines.\nDocument visits and any incidents or deviations in relevant systems.\nContribute to continuous improvement of ways of working related to supplier visits and lab work oversight.\nWork in accordance with company safety, environmental and quality standards (including GxP/GMP where applicable).\nAdditional tasks\nWork alongside senior engineers in day-to-day technical activities, providing support and learning on the job.\nPerform simple repair jobs, basic troubleshooting and planned maintenance tasks on equipment according to instructions.\nNothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities of this job at any time.\nCritical Skills:\nAbility to organize the daily flow of visits and tasks and adapt to changes at short notice.\nStrong focus on safety, compliance and risk awareness in a laboratory and IT/security environment.\nGood communication skills and confidence in giving clear instructions and safety briefings.\nBasic technical understanding and a practical, hands-on mindset for simple repairs, maintenance and physical tasks.\nStrong collaboration skills with many stakeholders (suppliers, lab staff, engineers, EHS, security, IT).\nService-minded attitude and professional behavior towards both internal and external partners.\nWillingness to learn, develop new skills and take on more responsibility over time.\nBasic Qualifications:\nSecondary education (high school or equivalent).\nExperience from a laboratory, technical, facility, production or similarly regulated environment.\nBasic experience with administrative tasks and documentation.\nBasic computer skills and experience working with standard IT systems.\nGood verbal and written communication skills in English.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPost-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, laboratory science, technical maintenance) is an advantage.\nExperience working with external suppliers, contractors or service partners.
