Headquartered in San Francisco with experts across more than forty markets, we specialize in the work that requires real human judgment: domain expertise, linguistic nuance, and cultural fidelity that generic data vendors cannot deliver.\nImagine earning extra money without changing a thing about your day. No second shift, no commute, no time away from the work or the life you already have. You film what you are already doing, and you get paid for it.\nPerle is building the data that teaches AI and robotics how real people move, work, and get things done. To do that, we need video recorded from a first-person point of view: the world as you see it, through a small camera mounted on a lightweight headstrap. We are looking for contributors across the US, Canada, and Latin America to capture everyday footage and turn their ordinary routines into real income.\nWhat You'll Actually Be Doing\nThe role is simple: you wear a headstrap with your phone, press record, and go about your day. The footage is captured hands-free from your perspective, so you can keep both hands on whatever you are doing.\nContributors record everyday activities and real work. That includes things like:\nHousehold life: doing tasks around the house, cooking, cleaning, organizing, repairs, and other daily routines.\nOn the job: filming while you do your actual job, whether you work in manufacturing, roofing, construction, a restaurant kitchen, a warehouse, or any other hands-on trade.\nEveryday activities: the small, ordinary moments that make up a normal day, captured naturally as they happen.\nThere is no script and no acting. The whole point is authentic, real footage of real life. If you can do your job and your daily tasks, you can do this.\nWhy This Is Worth Your Time\nEarn while you already work: Record while you work or while you handle things at home. Your day does not change; you just capture it.\nTotal flexibility: There are no fixed shifts. You decide when to record and how much. The more quality footage you submit, the more you earn.\nReal, steady income: Pay is competitive and varies by region. You are compensated for every hour of accepted footage you deliver.\nWe cover your gear: Perle provides a budget to purchase the headstrap you need to get started, so the equipment is covered.\nBe part of the future: The work you submit helps train the next generation of AI and robotics. Your everyday routine becomes part of something much bigger.\nWhat You'll Need\nLocation: You must be based in the United States, Canada, or a Latin American country. This role is open to these regions only.\nAge: You must be 18 years or older.\nA supported phone: You need one of the following: iPhone 11 or newer, Google Pixel 6 or newer, or Samsung Galaxy S21 or newer. A supported phone is required to capture footage.\nWillingness to wear a headstrap: You should be comfortable wearing a lightweight headstrap while you work or move around the house. Perle provides a budget so you can purchase one.\nAround 10 hours a week: A minimum of 10 hours of recorded footage per week is preferred. You are free to record more, and consistency helps you earn more.\nHow It Works\nStep 1Apply and get approved\nSubmit your application and confirm you have a supported phone. Once you are approved, we will get you set up.\nStep 2Get your headstrap\nWe provide a budget to purchase the headstrap. You mount your phone, and you are ready to record hands-free.\nStep 3Record your day\nPress record and go about your work and your routine. Capture at least 10 hours of footage a week, on your own schedule.\nStep 4Submit and get paid\nUpload your footage through the app. Once it is reviewed and accepted, you are paid for every hour delivered.\nYour Data Is Safe With Us\nEverything you record is submitted through a dedicated app, which is built to be fully compliant and private. Your footage is encrypted and handled securely from the moment you upload it.\nOne secure channel: Footage is submitted only through the official app. Nothing is shared publicly or posted anywhere.\nPrivate by design: Your personal information and your recordings are protected and anonymised and not shared.\nFully compliant: The app follows strict data compliance and security standards, so your data stays secure at every step.\nReady to Start Earning?\nIf you are based in the US, Canada, or Latin America and you want to turn your everyday routine into extra income, we want to hear from you. Whether you are on a roof, in a kitchen, on a factory floor, or just getting things done at home, your day is worth something.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4740,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Brazil","iso":"BR","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Machine Learning","AI Training Data & Annotation"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-26T15:20:51Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":5,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.189,"p_room":0.28,"age_days":164,"expected_fill_days":24,"reasons":["conf:2","win:tail","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-11-02T06:13:15Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/perle-egocentric-video-data-contributor","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/perle-egocentric-video-data-contributor.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-02T10:38:08Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":14742,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-03T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":3905385},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=3905385"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fperle-egocentric-video-data-contributor"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fperle-egocentric-video-data-contributor"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fperle-egocentric-video-data-contributor"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/perle-egocentric-video-data-contributor\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fperle-egocentric-video-data-contributor"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3277539}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"perle.ai","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3277539},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
