These paid summer intern opportunities will grant hands-on experience related to their field of study by working on specific projects that will aid their learning and add value to the Company. Each intern will be paired with a manager and mentor who will provide technical guidance throughout the internship. Along with their projects, interns will take part in a multitude of activities such as training, field tours, volunteer and networking opportunities with executives. The internship will culminate with a presentation crafted to showcase your knowledge of your work assignments and other aspects of your internship experiences.\nThe IT intern will assist with a variety of IT and technology-focused functions, including system support, scripting and automation, hardware and software configuration, troubleshooting, and technical documentation. Depending on background and interests, the intern may also support application development, data management initiatives, AI-enabled workflows, cybersecurity efforts, and end-user technical assistance.\nThis role is well-suited for candidates who are excited about applying programming, analytical, and AI concepts in a real-world, enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical curiosity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team.\nMinimum Qualifications\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer and/or educational institution\nPursuing or have completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field\nCurrent level in college: Sophomore through Graduate student\nExpected graduation: Spring/Fall 2029 (two summers remaining)\nAvailable for internship start mid-to-late May 2027\nA minimum of 12 continuous weeks of availability for the internship\nPreferred Qualifications\nMinimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (lower GPAs may be considered if extenuating circumstances apply)\nProficiency with Microsoft Office products\nCoursework or hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases\nExperience or exposure to Python for data analysis, automation, scripting, or application development\nFamiliarity with basic IT concepts, such as networking, hardware/software troubleshooting, system administration, or cybersecurity fundamentals\nExposure to AI tools, Large Language Models (LLMs), or prompt engineering, including using AI to analyze data, draft documentation, or improve workflows\nFamiliarity with data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence concepts\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and deliver results in a performance-driven, team-oriented environment\nPermian Resourceis an equal opportunity employer.
