Quality Assurance Associate, Document Custody – Perpetual Corporate Trust

Join our Corporate Trust business and support the quality, compliance and data governance activities of the Document Custody team.

About the Role

As Quality Assurance Associate, you will complete regular quality reviews, support compliance enquiries and help maintain effective operational controls. You will also contribute to data and vendor governance while identifying opportunities to improve the team’s processes and service delivery

Key Responsibilities

• Complete monthly quality reviews of incoming security documents processed for clients
• Review work completed by new team members undertaking verification and data entry training
• Coordinate security document packets required for client securitisation audits
• Respond to investigation, complaint and legal notice enquiries, including coordinating client follow up
• Maintain policies, procedures, operational risk controls and assigned control testing
• Complete data reconciliations and maintain accurate records within Content Manager
• Support vendor governance and identify operational trends, issues and improvement opportunities.

About you

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

• Experience in quality assurance, including conducting quality reviews, assurance activities or control walkthroughs in a regulated environment
• Experience in operational processing and client service, ideally involving mortgage or security documents
• A sound understanding of mortgage documentation
• Mortgage due diligence experience and/or proven experience in mortgage loan quality control processes will be highly regarded
• A highly organised and systematic approach to managing work and competing priorities
• Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and sound judgement
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with confidence working with clients and service providers nationally
• The ability to handle confidential information appropriately and assist colleagues with training across a range of tasks.
