We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture where each person can experience a sense of belonging.\nJoin us on our One Perrigo journey as we evolve to win in self-care.\nDescription Overview\nThe Automation/Vision Engineering Technician plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing and packaging operations by maintaining and improving automation and vision systems.\nThis position involves hands-on troubleshooting, system upgrades, and collaboration across departments to ensure reliable and efficient production processes.\nScope of the Role\nProvide technical support during third-shift operations, including emergency response and troubleshooting.\nCollaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and IT teams to resolve automation and vision system issues.\nLead and support system upgrades to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety.\nParticipate in change management activities and maintain accurate documentation of system modifications.\nReview and validate equipment specifications to ensure compliance with site standards.\nBe available for overtime and after-hours support as needed.\nExperience Required\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in packaging or manufacturing environments.\nProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.\nFamiliarity with change control and validation processes.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to navigate multiple projects simultaneously.\nEffective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and interaction with external partners.\nPhysical capability to work from ladders/lifts, perform heavy lifting, and provide personal transportation.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMinimum 5 years of experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs (RSLogix500, Studio5000).\nMinimum 5 years of experience with industrial vision systems (e.g., barcode scanning, label presence, OCR).\nSolid understanding of Ethernet/IP communication, drives/servos, robotics, and control system design.\nAbility to read and create control system documentation.\nBenefits\nWe believe our people are our greatest asset.
