We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture where each person can experience a sense of belonging.\nJoin us on our One Perrigo journey as we evolve to win in self-care.\nDescription Overview\nIn this role you will provide an engineering support service to the Manufacturing and Packaging departments through effective supervision of a Production Engineering team.\nYou will ensure that production machinery is fit for purpose and performing at the required standard to deliver the production plan.\nScope of the Role\nEnsure that engineering parts, materials and consumables inventory is maintained.\nSource and procures the aforementioned items as required.\nSet direction to the production support engineering team. Sets both long- and short-term priorities, allocates resource and ensures continuity through effective handovers.\nLiaise with external departments to understand customer requirements and establish priorities. \nProvide communication with and feedback to external departments.\nLine management of the Production Support Engineers. Motivates & facilitates the team members to constantly strive for improvement.\nUndertake such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time in order to support the Perrigo business.\nExperience Required\nMust Haves:\nTeam building/leading skills.\nAbility to handle any work-related pressure situations whilst remaining calm and approachable.\nAble to interpret business priorities and translate into priorities for self & others.\nPositive and flexible attitude towards own department and customers.\nAptitude to accept change culture.\nRecognised Engineering Apprenticeship plus 2 years post qualification experience in the pharmaceutical industry.\nNVQ II in Mechanical Engineering (preferably with Electrical Module).\nPreferred:\nGood working knowledge of engineering related safety legislation i.e. PUWER.\nExperience/knowledge of maintenance philosophies such as PPM, TPM.\nContinuous improvement/lean manufacturing experience.\nKnowledge of cGMP practices relating to Engineering.\nNVQ III Supervision.\nBenefits\nWe believe our people are our greatest asset.
