This leader will be responsible for developing and executing the site's engineering strategy, driving capital project execution, maintaining regulatory compliance, and developing a high-performing engineering organization.\nThe successful candidate will serve as a key member of the site leadership team, partnering closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations while supporting long-term business objectives.\nScope of the Role\nServe as a member of the site leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, operational excellence initiatives, and organizational effectiveness.\nLead the development of short- and long-term capital investment plans, ensuring alignment with business priorities and manufacturing needs.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and enhance overall operational efficiency.\nLead the planning, design, installation, commissioning, qualification, and startup of new equipment, systems, and facility improvements.\nEnsure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.\nDevelop business cases and capital expenditure requests while ensuring investments deliver measurable operational and financial benefits.\nManage relationships with external contractors, engineering firms, equipment suppliers, and service providers.\nChampion a culture of safety, quality, and compliance across all engineering activities.\nPartner with other sites to manage the network capital budget and to collaborate and align on strategies.\nEnsure compliance with FDA regulations, GMP requirements, food safety standards, environmental regulations, and internal company policies.\nProvide oversight for engineering documentation, including specifications, validation protocols, SOPs, maintenance procedures, and change control records.\nSupport internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and quality investigations as required.\nDrive implementation of automation, digital technologies, and data-driven solutions to improve operational performance and decision making.\nLead, develop, and mentor a high-performing engineering team through coaching, performance management, talent development, and succession planning.\nPromote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.\nAny other projects or tasks assigned.\nExperience Required\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field required, with 10+ years of experience.\nDemonstrated success leading engineering teams within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment preferred.\nStrong knowledge of GMP regulations, FDA requirements, food safety systems, quality management systems, and validation practices.\nExperience leading capital projects from concept through implementation.\nWorking knowledge of automation and control systems is preferred.\nStrong leadership abilities, with the capability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.\nStrong business acumen with experience managing budgets, capital investments, and resource allocation.\nExceptional project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.\nDemonstrated ability to successfully lead in fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environments.\nFamiliarity with relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, CMMS, ERP and Microsoft Suite systems.\nBenefits\nWe believe our people are our greatest asset.
