This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career software developers who are passionate about building high-quality software solutions, learning modern engineering practices, and contributing to products that serve the mortgage and real estate technology industry.\nThe Software Engineer I will work closely with senior engineers, architects, product managers, and quality engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications. environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, test, debug, and maintain software applications and services.\nParticipate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established engineering standards.\nAssist in analyzing business and technical requirements to develop effective software solutions.\nCollaborate with team members during sprint planning, code reviews, and design discussions.\nInvestigate and resolve software defects and production issues.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation related to application functionality and support procedures.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives involving code quality, automation, performance, and reliability.\nLearn Dark Matter products, platforms, development standards, and industry regulations.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n0-3 years of software development experience.\nProficiency in at least one modern programming language.\nEmbraces an AI-First mentality when it comes to software development\nUnderstanding of object-oriented design principles and software development fundamentals.\nFamiliarity with source control systems such as Git.\nKnowledge of basic database concepts and SQL.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with .NET/C#, ASP.NET, or related Microsoft technologies.\nExperience with Angular\nExposure to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services.\nFamiliarity with REST APIs and web services.\nEnterprise Integration Experience\nUnderstanding of Agile development methodologies.\nExperience with automated testing frameworks.\nSuccess Measures\nDuring the first 12 months, the Software Engineer I will:\nSuccessfully deliver assigned development stories and defect fixes.\nDemonstrate proficiency with Dark Matter engineering tools, processes, and coding standards.\nContribute positively to sprint commitments and team objectives.\nProduce
