analysis, implement system improvements, and ensure the availability, security, and performance of critical enterprise systems.\nKey Responsibility: \nWindows Server & Infrastructure Administration\nPerform advanced administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 environments.\nManage enterprise Windows server infrastructure including server builds, configuration, upgrades, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.\nMonitor server availability, performance, capacity, and system health to ensure compliance with operational and availability requirements.\nDiagnose and resolve complex Windows operating system, hardware, system services, and infrastructure-related incidents.\nPerform system health checks and proactively identify potential infrastructure issues before they impact business operations.\nSupport physical and virtual server environments, including hardware components, storage, system resources, and server dependencies.\nParticipate in infrastructure upgrades, technology refresh, server migration, consolidation, and decommissioning activities.\nActive Directory & Identity Management\nProvide advanced administration and operational support for Microsoft Active Directory environments.\nManage and troubleshoot Active Directory components including users, groups, computers, Organizational Units (OUs), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), authentication, permissions, and domain services.\nPerform investigation and resolution of complex AD-related issues involving authentication, access, replication, policies, and domain connectivity.\nSupport Active Directory security and administration best practices, including access control and privileged account management.\nAssist with AD restructuring, domain migrations, policy changes, and infrastructure enhancement initiatives.\nIdentify opportunities to automate repetitive Active Directory administration and operational tasks.\nPowerShell & Automation\nDevelop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate system administration, monitoring, reporting, configuration, maintenance, and operational activities.\nAutomate repetitive Windows Server and Active Directory tasks to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.\nDevelop scripts for server health checks, user/account administration, system information gathering, patch validation, service monitoring, and operational reporting.\nTroubleshoot and enhance existing automation scripts while ensuring appropriate error handling, logging, and operational controls.\nIdentify opportunities to introduce automation and standardisation into infrastructure support processes.\nServer Patching & Security\nPlan, coordinate, and execute Windows Server patching activities in accordance with security requirements, change management procedures, and agreed maintenance windows.\nPerform pre- and post-patch validation to ensure system stability and application availability.\nInvestigate patch-related issues and coordinate remediation with relevant infrastructure and application teams.\nMaintain patch compliance and provide accurate operational reporting.\nSupport vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening activities where required.\nEnsure infrastructure changes are implemented in accordance with approved change management and security procedures.\nServer Management & Monitoring Tools\nAdminister and utilise enterprise server management, monitoring, deployment, and remote administration tools.\nMonitor infrastructure alerts and events, perform initial investigation, and take appropriate corrective actions.\nSupport deployment and configuration management activities across Windows server environments.\nMaintain accurate system configuration information, operational records, and infrastructure documentation.\nWhere applicable, utilise Altiris and other enterprise management tools for software deployment, configuration, inventory, patching, and endpoint/server management.\nStorage & Hardware Infrastructure\nDemonstrate working knowledge of enterprise server storage technologies and RAID configurations, including RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5 and other commonly used RAID technologies.\nTroubleshoot server hardware, storage, disk, and RAID-related issues.\nPerform basic analysis of storage performance, capacity, disk health, and redundancy.\nWork with hardware and infrastructure vendors for complex hardware and storage-related incidents.\nSupport hardware replacement, server maintenance, and infrastructure refresh activities.\nIncident, Problem & Service Management\nProvide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for complex Windows infrastructure and Active Directory incidents.\nManage incidents in accordance with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational priorities.\nPerform detailed troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution for recurring or high-impact infrastructure issues.\nParticipate in major incident resolution and provide timely technical updates to relevant stakeholders.\nMaintain accurate incident, problem, change, and knowledge records within enterprise ticketing systems such as HP Service Manager / ServiceNow or equivalent platforms.\nEnsure incidents are properly documented, tracked, escalated, and resolved within agreed service levels.\nParticipate in problem management activities and recommend preventive measures to minimise recurring incidents.\nChange & Release Management\nImplement infrastructure changes in accordance with established ITIL and change management processes.\nPrepare technical implementation plans, risk assessments, rollback plans, and validation procedures for infrastructure changes.\nSupport scheduled maintenance activities and planned service outages.\nEnsure all changes are appropriately documented and approved before implementation.\nParticipate in post-implementation reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of change processes.\nOperational Support & Shift Operations\nProvide infrastructure support within a 24x7 / shift-based operational environment, where required.\nPerform monitoring, incident response, scheduled maintenance, system checks, and operational activities during assigned shifts.\nParticipate in on-call or after-hours support arrangements where applicable.\nEnsure effective handover of outstanding incidents, operational issues, and planned activities between shifts.\nRespond effectively to changing priorities and operational requirements in a dynamic technology environment.\nDocumentation & Continuous Improvement\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation including operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, system runbooks, knowledge articles, and infrastructure documentation.\nIdentify opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, operational efficiency, automation, and service quality.\nContribute to the development and improvement of standard operating procedures and technical support processes.\nShare technical knowledge and provide guidance to junior engineers and other support teams where required.\nMaintain awareness of current Windows infrastructure technologies, security practices, automation techniques, and operational best practices.\n\nRequirements\nDiploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.\nMinimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Windows Server / Infrastructure Administration, preferably within an enterprise environment.\nStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016 and/or 2019.\nStrong knowledge and practical experience in Microsoft Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.\nGood understanding of Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, authentication, permissions, domain services, and Windows infrastructure dependencies.\nStrong PowerShell scripting skills with experience in infrastructure automation.\nHands-on experience with Windows Server patching, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.\nExperience working with enterprise server management, monitoring, deployment, and configuration management tools.\nKnowledge of RAID technologies, including RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5 and other storage configurations.\nExperience with Altiris and/or similar enterprise management tools will be advantageous.\nExperience with enterprise ticketing and IT service management tools, such as HP Service Manager, ServiceNow, or equivalent.\nGood understanding and awareness of ITIL processes, particularly Incident, Problem, Change, Request and Service Management.\nExperience working in an SLA-driven IT operations environment with defined
