As Associate Commercial Counsel, you’ll have a broad range of responsibilities providing legal guidance on commercial matters. First and foremost, you will be responsible for managing and negotiating commercial relationships that contribute to our success, including vendor and sales contracts. Knowledge of relevant state and international privacy laws including CCPA and GDPR is a plus. This role will be located in our San Francisco office and you will be expected to be in the office three times per week.\nWhat you'll do at Persona\nDraft and negotiate commercial agreements involving the company’s products and services including nondisclosure agreements and sales agreements.\n\nWork directly with the sales team to complete sales negotiations swiftly while still protecting the company.\n\nNegotiate vendor agreements.\n\nDraft, update and maintain form agreements.\n\nProvide advice to the Post-Sales team regarding customer issues.\n\nProvide general support as needed including on non-commercial matters, which may include assisting with drafting internal policies and implementing related processes.\n\nWhat you'll bring to Persona\n2- 4 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or similar environment (preferred minimum one year of experience in-house experience)\n\nA J.D. and active membership in at least one state bar\n\nExperience with commercial negotiation and drafting skills\n\nGood judgment and an ability to learn quickly with minimal guidance\n\nAbility to organize, prioritize, and manage projects effectively\n\nExperience working with government contracts is a plus.\n\nBenefits and Perks\nFor full-time US-based employees (excluding internship and contractor opportunities), Persona offers a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, 3% 401(k) contribution, unlimited PTO, quarterly mental health days, family planning benefits, professional development stipend, wellness benefits, among others.\nFor full-time UK employees, Persona offers a wide range of benefits, including private medical insurance, dental insurance, a 6% employer pension contribution, unlimited PTO, a monthly wellness stipend, professional development stipend, co-working stipend, and more.\nAs part of our interview process, all candidates will be asked to verify their identity with Persona.
