Personalis is based in Fremont, California.\nSummary: \nIn our lab, we foster a positive, friendly and team-based environment where we all pitch in to help achieve our common goals and support each other. We offer a dynamic atmosphere where you will have the opportunity to work on benches such as extractions, Library prep, and sequencing. You will also partner with our lab assistants and coordinate with them on pre-analytical & post analytical tasks.\nOur Clinical Lab Scientists perform and report clinical lab testing on samples used by physicians in the diagnostic and treatment of patients. This will entail following the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and next generation sequencing processes, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.\nOnsite: 5 days a week\nAvailable Shifts:\n\n- Friday - Tuesday, 6:00am - 2:30pm (AM Shift) - 2 openings\n- Friday - Tuesday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm (PM Shift) - 1 opening\n- Tuesday - Saturday, 6:00am - 2:30pm (AM Shift) - 1 opening\n- Tuesday - Saturday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm (PM Shift) - 2 openings\nTraining hours may be at different shifts. \nResponsibilities: \nMaintain updated understanding and knowledge of the methods employed in the lab and the use of the resulting information by physicians through continuing education activities\nSupervise the activities of the lab in the absence of an onsite manager\nIdentify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either correct the problems or notify management\nParticipate in activities which support all necessary licensure for the clinical laboratory, including quality management functions and on-site inspections of the laboratory\nTrains other CLS personnel and other staff in laboratory methods. Monitor the activities of non-licensed personnel as needed\nFollow the laboratory's established policies and procedures, quality control policies and activities including required documentation necessary to ensure compliance\nMay be required to assist in assay development activities\nOther duties as required\nRequirements: \nBachelor’s degree, preferably in sciences or related disciplines\nCalifornia Clinical Laboratory Scientist license OR CGMBS license\n0-4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting\nBeneficial to have experience with manual DNA/RNA extractions, manual library prep and working with a microtome\nThe hiring range for this position is $56.25 to $66.00 per hour, which may factor in various geographic regions.
