- Experience supporting or delivering Owner-side assurance of EPC or Design-Build ICT/MSI obligations.
- Experience reviewing contractor test plans and non-conformances.
- Experience managing technical interfaces across multiple systems, vendors and network domains.
- Experience chairing or supporting interface working groups.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Systems Integration Test Plan (SITP) Execution
- Maintain, develop and regularly update the Systems Integration Test Plan (SITP), including detailed testing methodology, test scenarios, sequencing, dependencies, responsibilities and pass/fail criteria.
- Ensure that the SITP is aligned with the Technology Master Plan (TMP), overall project requirements, approved design documentation and implementation schedules.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of systems integration testing activities across all major technology and operational systems within the project.
- Establish testing priorities based on system dependencies, critical interfaces, project milestones and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, system vendors, PMC technical teams and relevant engineering disciplines to ensure that all required test prerequisites are completed before integration testing begins.
- Review test procedures, test scripts, test evidence and acceptance criteria submitted by contractors and system vendors.
- Monitor testing progress, identify delays or dependencies affecting integration activities, and coordinate corrective actions with the responsible parties.
- Ensure that integration test results are properly documented, reviewed and formally closed out before systems progress to the next stage of implementation or acceptance.
2. FAT/SAT Witnessing & Acceptance
- Witness and monitor Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for major technology, ICT, operational and specialist systems.
- Review FAT/SAT procedures, test scripts, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation prior to testing.
- Verify that testing activities are performed in accordance with approved specifications, contractual requirements, the Technology Master Plan and the Systems Integration Test Plan.
- Document test results, observations, deviations, failures and outstanding actions, maintaining a clear audit trail for each tested system.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure that identified defects and failed test cases are addressed and retested within agreed timelines.
- Assess the readiness of systems for subsequent integration, commissioning and operational acceptance stages.
- Escalate systems that fail to demonstrate the required level of functionality, performance or integration, ensuring that no system is accepted without sufficient evidence of compliance.
- Maintain consolidated FAT/SAT status records and provide regular updates on testing progress, outstanding actions and acceptance risks.
3. Interface Management
- Maintain and continuously update the project-wide interface register covering critical technical, operational, data, communication and network interfaces between systems.
- Identify, document and monitor dependencies between systems, applications, infrastructure components, vendors and technical disciplines.
- Coordinate the definition and validation of interface requirements, data flows, communication protocols and responsibilities between interfacing systems.
- Support the Interface Control Working Group by preparing agendas, reviewing open interface items, documenting decisions and tracking actions through to closure.
- Coordinate the resolution of technical interface issues between EPC contractors, system integrators, vendors, PMC teams and relevant engineering disciplines.
- Monitor interface-related risks that may affect testing, commissioning, system performance or project milestones.
- Review interface control documents, technical submissions, integration specifications and related design documentation.
- Ensure that changes to system configurations or project requirements are reflected in the relevant interface documentation and registers.
- Escalate unresolved critical interface issues and provide clear visibility of their potential impact on project delivery.
4. Non-Conformance & Issue Tracking
- Establish and maintain a structured register of ICT, systems integration and MSI-related non-conformances, defects, technical issues and outstanding actions.
- Review non-conformance reports raised against contractors and system vendors and assess their potential impact on system functionality, integration, testing and project milestones.
- Coordinate with the PMC ICT and technical teams to investigate the root causes of non-conformances and define appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor all corrective actions through to closure, ensuring that supporting evidence and retesting results are properly documented.
- Identify recurring or systemic issues and escalate them to the relevant project stakeholders for further investigation and resolution.
- Track high-risk and overdue issues, highlighting their potential impact on integration activities, commissioning and operational readiness.
- Prepare regular status reports covering open, closed, overdue and high-priority non-conformances.
- Support formal escalation of unresolved or high-risk issues to senior project management where required.
5. ICIA & PMC Coordination
- Act as the primary operational point of contact for the independent ICT Integration Assurance Advisor (ICIA) in relation to systems integration activities.
- Coordinate the preparation, submission and review of key integration deliverables, including Technology Master Plan updates, SITP documentation, FAT/SAT reports and supporting technical records.
- Facilitate communication between the ICIA, PMC ICT team, EPC contractor, system integrators and relevant technology vendors.
- Support the PMC ICT sub-consultant team in reviewing ICT/MSI technical deliverables, integration documentation, inspection reports and test documentation.
- Track comments, review observations and required actions raised by the ICIA and PMC teams, ensuring timely responses and closure.
- Coordinate technical workshops and review meetings where required to resolve integration, testing and interface-related matters.
- Ensure that integration assurance activities remain aligned with project governance requirements, approved procedures and agreed delivery milestones.
- Maintain clear records of technical reviews, decisions, actions and approvals related to systems integration.
6. Reporting & ORAT Support
- Prepare regular management reports covering systems integration progress, testing status, interface issues, non-conformances, key risks and outstanding actions.
- Consolidate information from contractors, system vendors, PMC teams and technical disciplines into clear and accurate project-level status reports.
- Monitor progress against approved integration milestones and identify potential delays, dependencies and critical path issues.
- Provide management with early visibility of risks that could affect system integration, testing, commissioning or operational readiness.
- Support the development and monitoring of systems integration milestones within the ORAT Technology Workstream.
- Coordinate with relevant project stakeholders to ensure that technology systems, interfaces, procedures and supporting documentation are progressively prepared for operational readiness.
- Support integrated testing, readiness reviews, demonstrations and other activities required to confirm that systems are ready for operational use.
- Contribute to Day-1 operational readiness activities by ensuring that outstanding technology integration issues are identified, tracked and resolved within agreed timelines.
- Maintain accurate evidence and documentation demonstrating readiness of systems and interfaces for transition into operations.
Employment Conditions
- Full-time employment.
- The role involves working within an international project team and coordinating with the EPC Contractor, PMC ICT team, ICIA and relevant technical disciplines.
