Due to continued growth within our Engineering Department, we are now looking to recruit Associate Engineering Instructors (Electrical & Electronic) to support the delivery of our apprenticeship and commercial training programmes.\nThis role will primarily be based at our specialist engineering training centre in Havant; however, there may be opportunities to deliver training at employer sites where required.\nWhat will I be responsible for?\nWe are looking for Associate Engineering Instructors (Electrical & Electronic) who can support PETA by delivering engaging and effective electrical and electronic engineering training to apprentices, learners, and corporate clients.\nYour responsibilities may include:\nTeaching and mentoring individuals in technical electrical and electronic engineering skills.\nDeveloping and delivering engaging training sessions and practical workshops.\nSupporting the preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans, and training materials.\nPlanning, preparing, and undertaking assessments of competence against awarding body standards.\nEnsuring all relevant training, assessment, and company documentation is completed accurately and on time.\nProviding advice, guidance, and technical support to learners and employers.\nPromoting safe working practices and ensuring the immediate reporting of accidents or incidents.\nSupporting the development of learners to help them achieve their qualifications and career aspirations.\nThis is a flexible associate opportunity, allowing you to work with us on an agreed basis to meet employer and learner needs.\nWhat will I need to succeed?\nTo be successful as our newest Associate Engineering Instructor (Electrical & Electronic), passion, professionalism, and a commitment to developing others will be key.\nEssential Requirements\nLevel 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, or a related Engineering discipline.\nExtensive electrical and/or electronic engineering experience gained within industry.\nLevel 2 literacy and numeracy skills.\nStrong communication and presentation skills.\nThe ability to engage and motivate learners from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.\nFull driving licence and access to your own vehicle.\nDesirable Requirements\nAssessor qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent).\nTeaching qualification.\nExperience of delivering training or working within a learning environment.\nKnowledge and understanding of apprenticeship standards and frameworks.\nExperience within electrical and electronic engineering environments.\nPlease note, this is not an exhaustive list. We schedule training throughout the year to meet employer and learner requirements and will work with you to arrange sessions that provide flexibility for both you and our customers.\nWith over 50 years' experience delivering apprenticeship and commercial training programmes, PETA continues to support businesses and learners across the South Coast to achieve their potential.\nOur commitment to safeguarding our learners is paramount.
