The Processing Supervisor will ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery in accordance with established Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure on time production which meets or exceeds daily output and standards for quality.\nKey areas of Responsibility\nEnsure employee compliance with health and safety standards \nPromote and develop employee relations and communications on the processing line \nMaintain a smooth flow on the processing floor \nResponsible for the processing employee rotation schedule \nResponsible for tracking time-clock exceptions, weekly timesheets and PTO request approvals \nConducts periodic performance reviews \nNew employee orientation, development, and training for packers, machine operators, loader operators and pallet builders. \nAssist with disciplinary investigations \nAttend regular safety meetings \nCoordinate First Report of Injuries with First Responders and Human Resources Generalist \nConduct accident and near-miss investigations \nAssist with compliance and recordkeeping \nConduct and document daily and weekly inspections \nAct as a liaison between maintenance and the Director of Plant Operations \nComply with SQF, HACCP and GMP requirements at all times \nOther duties as assigned \nQualifications & Education Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent \n3+ years’ supervisory experience, preferably in a fast paced production environment \nBilingual in Spanish highly preferred\nExcellent interpersonal skills \nDemonstrated leadership skills \nSkills in database management and record keeping \nAble to exhibit a high level of confidentiality \nExcellent organizational skills \nMust be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner \nMust be able to gather and analyze information skillfully \nKnowledge of food quality standards \nAbility to perform the duties of the machine operator or line packer \nGood basic computer skills \nPhysical Requirements\nAble to lift up to 50 pounds \nAble to stand/walk 8 - 10 hours per day \nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment \nAble to perform repetitive reaching, lifting and fine motor skills \nMust be able to see and read date codes \nMust be able to speak and hear using two-way radio communications \nThe above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills for the position.
