Your expertise will be instrumental in driving and refining our hardware strategy.\nOur Objectives and your Role:\nIoT & Embedded Systems Development: Design, build, and integrate IoT devices for commercial or industrial applications, centered around vision-based automated license plate recognition (ALPR) or customer interaction (digital signage, digital access control systems), ensuring seamless performance and reliability.\nSupplier sourcing & qualification:Identify, evaluate and onboard manufacturers and component suppliers worldwide.\nCollaborative Development:Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to maintain high standards of quality and innovation.\nProject Management:Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of IoT projects, from initial concept through to successful delivery, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.\nRFQs & cost analysis:Run RFQs, compare quotations on technical fit and total landed cost, and drive cost down across the BOM.\nNegotiation:Negotiate price, volume tiers, MOQ, payment terms and lead times.\nTechnical specifications:Turn engineering and operations requirements into clear supplier specs, and review drawings and samples with the IoT teams.\nSupplier quality:Define acceptance criteria, manage sample and pilot orders, and make sure production matches the approved design.\nOrder & supply management:Place and track orders, and manage production schedules, shipping and customs.\nStakeholder alignment:Keep engineering, operations, warehouse and finance aligned on hardware decisions.\nOutcome Ownership: Own the outcomes of our hardware decisions end to end: availability, cost, quality and field reliability. Done means the hardware runs stably on customer sites, not that the order went out.\nDomain Stewardship:Own our hardware portfolio and supplier base.
