Warehouse Apprentice
Peterson Freight Management Ltd (PFML) is looking for a motivated and dependable Warehouse Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in logistics while gaining hands-on experience across two warehouse operations: PFML & 8020. The role will operate on a rotational basis as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
As part of this apprenticeship, you will also play a key role in supporting an upcoming warehouse relocation and integration project, giving you valuable exposure to operational planning, stock transfers, facility setup, and systems integration.
This apprenticeship provides a structured development pathway and includes the opportunity to achieve an SVQ in Logistics Operations.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities - Warehouse Operations
Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch
Maintain accurate inventory and support routine stock counts
Operate warehouse equipment under supervision (training provided)
Keep warehouse areas clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards
Follow all company health and safety policies
Provide day-to-day support to team members and management
Key Responsibilities - Warehouse Relocation & Integration Project
Assist with planning and preparation activities for the warehouse move
Support the transfer, organisation, and reconciliation of stock
Contribute to warehouse layout setup and workspace organisation
Help integrate processes and workflows into the new facility
Work to minimise operational disruption during the transition
Provide observations and feedback to support continuous improvement
