We are relentless in our process and put attention to detail first.\nA Senior Fund Accountant at Petra plays a critical role in delivering high-quality service to our Alternative Investment clients. This position is responsible for overseeing core accounting and reporting processes for private credit funds, including loan-level accounting, interest income and PIK calculations, capital activity, credit facility/leverage reporting, fee calculations, cash management, and financial statements, while serving as a trusted day-to-day contact for clients. The role partners closely with junior team members, providing review, guidance, and mentorship, and collaborates with fund leadership on complex accounting matters (including covenant compliance, waterfall mechanics, and borrowing base reporting), audits, and client requests. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of private credit/direct lending fund structures (BDCs, closed-end funds, CLOs, or SMAs), excellent attention to detail, and the ability to balance technical execution with a client-first, team-oriented approach that reflects Petra's commitment to service and quality.\nWhat You'll Do \nServe as the primary contact for credit fund client relationship(s), overseeing engagements from proposal through implementation and ongoing administration.\nEnsure that client engagements are properly staffed and that team members receive the necessary training to meet both internal and external deliverables.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to deadlines.\nReview and implement partnership allocation models in line with partnership agreements for a diverse client base.\nGain proficiency in key systems through training with the accounting team, focusing on Investran Live (accounting system), Salesforce CRM, and Intralinks.\nCoordinate and review investor communications, including capital call and distribution notices, as well as capital balance statements. \nOversee and review investment transactions within the Investran Live general ledger system.\nReview and approve management fee calculations, invoices, and journal entries. Oversee the daily and monthly cash reconciliation processes for various credit partnerships and associated portfolio companies.\nReview fund financial statements and other management reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.\nCollaborate with the Director to provide strategic direction on various projects, including reviewing materials prepared by staff, such as general ledger entries, quarterly work papers, audit confirmations, limited partner requests, and other ad hoc documents.\nReview and/or calculate credit fund performance metrics, including gross/net MOIC, IRR, TVPI, RVPI, and DPI.
