The position involves physically demanding outdoor work and requires effective communication and coordination with supervisors and team members.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMaterial Preparation & Transportation\nReview assigned work orders to confirm materials, specifications, and job locations.\nLocate and verify cable reels and materials using inventory tracking systems.\nSafely load, secure, and transport cable reels using trucks, trailers, hoists, and lifting equipment.\nEnsure all loads are properly secured to prevent shifting or damage during transport.\nTransport materials to and from airport and field locations in compliance with company and safety regulations.\nOn-Site Cable Operations\nUnload cable reels and set up spooling trailers at job sites.\nPosition and deploy pipe and cable systems according to work order requirements.\nSet up, secure, and operate clamping apparatus to stabilize pipe and cable during operations.\nAssist with removing damaged pipe sections using controlled pulling techniques to expose cables.\nMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas during all pulling and lifting activities.\nCable Inspection & Reinstallation\nInspect exposed cables for signs of damage, wear, or defects, including frays, cuts, and abrasions.\nImmediately report any cable irregularities or damage to the supervisor.\nCoil cables neatly and uniformly to prepare for duct reinsertion.\nAssist with reinserting cables into ducts using approved pulling methods and equipment.\nPost-Repair & Shipping Preparation\nSecurely load repaired cable reels onto trucks and trailers for return transport.\nComplete all required documentation, including work orders, inspection logs, and repair details.\nVerify customer and shipping information for accuracy and completeness.\nOffload materials at the facility and organize reels for final customer shipment.\nSubmit all completed documentation to management to support timely and accurate order processing.\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow all company, site-specific, and airport safety procedures at all times.\nProperly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety boots, high-visibility apparel, and hard hats.\nExercise caution when operating vehicles, hoists, and lifting equipment.\nEnsure all personnel remain clear of work areas during pulling and lifting activities.\nMaintain awareness of surroundings, equipment movement, and changing site conditions.\nQualifications\nExperience in cable handling, field operations, construction, utilities, or related industries preferred. \nValid driver’s license required. \nExperience operating trucks, trailers, hoists, or other lifting equipment preferred.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nAbility to lift, carry, and handle materials weighing approximately 50-75 pounds. \nAbility to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varied weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain). \nStrong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety. \nAbility to read and follow written procedures, safety guidelines, and work orders. \nEffective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment with minimal
