We work hard to be our community’s employer of choice as we all live our purpose: We exist to unleash freedom for pet parents by keeping their pets happy, healthy and safe.\nSummary of Position:\nThe Accounting Manager provides leadership and oversight of the US and International Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. Additionally provides support and expertise to the General Ledger accounting team. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial statement analysis.\nResponsibilities:\nManage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams\nSupport General Ledger and FP&A teams with month-end close activities, ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of financial transactions and reporting.\nPreparation and/or review of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.\nAssist with preparation and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, and complex accounting transactions.\nLead accounting research on complex financial reporting issues and evolving standards.\nParticipate in financial statement variance analysis and review\nPartner with external auditors to manage the annual audit and coordinate compliance audits.\nLead strategic process improvement initiatives within the department to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.\nSelect, train, mentor, and manage a team of accounting professionals; set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with company leadership to align financial activities with broader organizational goals.\nSupport additional projects and ad hoc financial analyses as requested by leadership.\nQualifications:\nMinimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance\nCPA designation is preferred\n5+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a minimum of 2 years in a management role\nStrong understanding of GAAP regulations and compliance requirements\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines\nProficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting softwares\nRelationships:\nReports to the Controller\nManage AR and AP teams\nWorks closely with finance leadership\nBENEFITS:\nWorking for PetSafe Brands definitely has its benefits.
