You’ll help build and operate the AWS platform behind PEXA Go, making sure it is reliable, secure and well supported as the service develops.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role. You’ll work closely with the Principal and Lead Platform Engineers to deliver platform priorities, improve the way infrastructure is deployed and operated, and help resolve issues when they arise. You’ll also work with software engineering, Technology Operations, Product, Security and Risk colleagues, so clear communication and good collaboration will matter just as much as your technical experience.\nThe role includes paid on-call support, responding to alerts and incidents as part of agreed arrangements.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nBuilding, configuring and maintaining the AWS infrastructure and platform services used by PEXA Go.\nImplementing infrastructure changes through code and automation, helping make delivery repeatable and dependable.\nDelivering upgrades, technical remediation and lifecycle work, while identifying dependencies and risks early.\nImproving monitoring, logging and alerting so teams can spot issues and understand what is happening across the platform.\nInvestigating platform incidents and service problems, helping restore service and prevent the same issues from recurring.\nMaking safe, documented changes to live services and contributing technical evidence and follow-up actions to incident reviews.\nApplying agreed security controls and engineering standards to infrastructure, access, configuration and platform changes.\nKeeping colleagues informed about progress, risks and technical options.\nSharing what you know and looking for practical ways to make the platform and its day-to-day operation better.\nWhat You'll Bring\nHands-on experience engineering and operating production workloads on AWS.\nPractical experience using infrastructure as code, scripting and automation to deliver platform changes.\nExperience working with containerised applications and Kubernetes, including troubleshooting operational issues.\nExperience setting up or using monitoring, logging and alerting to diagnose production problems.\nConfidence investigating incidents and making safe, well-documented changes to live services.\nA sound understanding of cloud security, networking, resilience, backup and recovery.\nThe ability to work effectively with software engineers and explain technical risks and options clearly.\nYou’ll take ownership of your work and follow issues through to resolution. When services are under pressure, you’ll bring sound judgement, keep others informed and escalate risks promptly.
