Responsible for completion of cable building and technical communication vehicle (TCV) computer installation.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPerforms entry level tasks such as troubleshooting pumps, blenders, TCVs, and cable building with constant supervision.\nTroubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, power supplies, instrumentation, gages and test equipment.\nInforms appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.\nMaintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.\nPerforms preventive maintenance functions as directed with constant supervision.\nPerforms other related duties as required.\n\nEducational and Other Requirements:\nHigh school education or equivalent preferred.\nTwo-year technical degree, accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent working experience is a plus.\nMust possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.\nEntry level knowledge of basic schematic reading, wiring procedures, soldering techniques, use of test equipment, and basic electronic troubleshooting theory preferred.\nValid driver’s license required\nMust work with upper level technician until proficient\nMust possess ability to work independently and as a member of team\nFrequent travel may be required.\nMust be highly safety conscious.\nMust be sensitive to confidential information.\n\nMental and Physical Requirements:\nAble to read, speak and write English.\nAbility to use sophisticated computer software programs to achieve job functions.\nMust be willing to work any shift and overtime as required.\nAble to work under stressful conditions at times.\nPerforming physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\n\nThis job description should not be interpreted as an exhaustive list of responsibilities or as an employment agreement between the employer and employee.
