By collaborating with our forward-thinking engineering team, you'll play a pivotal role in accelerating the delivery of medicines to the world.\nWhat You Will Achieve\nIn this role, you will:\nContribute to moderately complex projects, managing time effectively to meet targets.\nApply skills and knowledge to contribute to team efforts.\nUse judgment to modify methods and techniques as needed.\nMonitor and complete periodic reviews, including the validation master plan for automation engineering.\nDemonstrate exceptional planning, organizing, time management, and team participation skills.\nTake responsibility for routine and preventive maintenance, ensuring equipment and facilities operate safely and efficiently.\nHere Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)\nKey Responsibilities Automation ResponsibilitiesConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot Emerson DeltaV DCS systems.\nDevelop and modify control modules, equipment modules, phases, and batch logic.\nDesign and maintain DeltaV operator graphics, alarms, trends, and reports.\nSupport DCS upgrades, migrations, patch management, and lifecycle activities.\nPerform system backups, restoration, and disaster recovery activities.\nTroubleshoot automation system failures and implement corrective actions.\nSupport FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup, and plant shutdown activities.\nOptimize control strategies to improve process performance, quality, and productivity.\nIntegrate DeltaV systems with PLCs, SCADA, Historians, and third-party systems.\nEnsure compliance with cybersecurity and automation standards.\n\nInstrumentation ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical instruments, and control valves.\nTroubleshoot instrumentation-relatedissues affecting plant operations.\nReview and update instrument datasheets, loop drawings, P&IDs, and instrument index documents.\nSupport installation, testing, and commissioning of new instrumentation systems.\nCoordinate with maintenance and operations teams for instrument reliability improvements.\nDiagnose communication issues related to HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus, and other industrial protocols.\nSupport control valve diagnostics and performance assessment.\nParticipate in plant projects involving instrumentation and automation upgrades.\nEnsure instrumentation systems comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.\nManage instrument spares, technical specifications, and vendor interactions.\n\nBonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)\nRelevant pharmaceutical experience\nUnderstanding of programming and proficiency in at least one language\nKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)\nAbility to train others effectively\nStrong problem-solving skills\nExperience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity.
