Your efforts will accelerate the delivery of best-in-class medicines to patients globally, fulfilling Pfizer's commitment to making a meaningful difference in healthcare.\nWhat You Will Achieve\nIn this role, you will:\nApply advanced knowledge of bacterial immunology, immunoassay platforms, and functional assay methodologies to support vaccine development programs.\nServe as a technical expert in the development, optimization, qualification, validation, and lifecycle management of bacterial immunoassays.\nLead assay activities across the development, including assay design, feasibility assessment, method optimization, validation, technology transfer, and clinical sample testing support.\nDevelop and evaluate innovative approaches, methodologies, and hypotheses to improve assay performance and address scientific challenges.\nResolve moderately complex scientific and technical issues involving assay performance, data interpretation, and clinical study support.\nAdapt and refine established methodologies while maintaining data quality, reproducibility, and compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.\nWork independently, manage assigned priorities, and engage colleagues and cross-functional partners to address emerging scientific questions and program needs.\nInterpret and communicate complex data to project teams and stakeholders to support decisions across preclinical and clinical vaccine programs.\nCollaborate with clinical, statistical, regulatory, quality, and laboratory operations partners to support assay implementation and timely delivery of clinical testing data.\nContribute to technical reports, regulatory submissions, scientific publications, and presentations.\nHere Is What You Need\nMust have\nAdvanced knowledge of immunological principles and bacterial vaccine evaluation.\nPhD in immunology, microbiology, biological sciences, or a related discipline with 0 to 3 years of experience OR MBA/MS with 7 to 8 years of experience OR BA/BS with 9 to 11 years of experience\nDemonstrated experience in immunoassay development, qualification, validation, and clinical testing.\nHands-on experience with ELISA, multiplex immunoassays, functional antibody assays, or related immunological techniques.\nStrong capabilities in experimental design, data analysis, troubleshooting, and scientific problem-solving.\nAbility to lead scientific initiatives and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nNice to Have\nAn equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience that demonstrates expertise in bacterial immunoassay development, validation, and clinical testing will also be considered.\nProficiency with personal computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant scientific software\nExcellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively\nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team\nExperience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use\nOther Work Details\nWork Location Assignment: On Premise\nThe annual base salary for this position ranges from $93,600.00 to $156,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
