Direct & Indirect Purchasing Management\nLead and coordinate direct and indirect procurement activities within the locally assigned scope, in partnership with Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing and Global Procurement, and in alignment with applicable Direct Materials governance and global/category strategies.\nOptimize the total cost of ownership while balancing quality, service, technical specific delivery performance, operational continuity, and compliance.\nIdentify alternative supply sources and opportunities for supplier consolidation, standardization, demand management, and cost optimization.\n3. Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Negotiation\nPlan and lead competitive sourcing events, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluation, and supplier recommendations.\nDevelop sourcing strategies appropriate to the category, spend, business requirements, supplier market, risk, and operational criticality.\nDevelop negotiation strategies and lead commercial negotiations covering price, service, quality, lead time, payment terms, warranties, delivery terms, and other relevant commercial conditions.\nCoordinate contract development and approval with Legal, Finance, Compliance, and relevant Business Owners.\nEnsure sourcing decisions consider overall value, including total cost, quality, technical capability, delivery, service, compliance, and supply continuity.\nEngage the appropriate Global Procurement/category teams where required by applicable sourcing thresholds, category ownership, or procurement policy.\n4. Procurement Operations & Governance\nEnsure procurement transactions follow approved policies, delegation of authority, budget controls, and documentation requirements.\nEnsure appropriate Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order processes are followed and procurement documentation remains complete and audit-ready.\nMonitor operational performance, resolve escalations, and address root causes affecting cycle time, service quality, material availability, or supplier payment.\nMaintain accurate supplier, contract, catalogue, and procurement records in applicable systems.\nEnsure appropriate procurement involvement throughout the purchasing lifecycle, from requirement definition through sourcing, contracting, ordering, delivery, and supplier performance management.\n5. Supplier Performance, Risk & Continuity\nEstablish supplier governance appropriate to supplier criticality and business impact.\nMonitor supplier performance across cost, quality, service, delivery, compliance, and continuity dimensions.\nIdentify procurement and third-party risks, maintain mitigation plans, and escalate material continuity or compliance concerns.\nPartner with Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Commercial, and other business teams to support shortage prevention, alternative sourcing, and business continuity planning.\nDevelop and maintain appropriate alternative sourcing strategies for critical direct and indirect requirements.\nDrive corrective and improvement actions with underperforming suppliers.\n6. Compliance, Controls & Responsible Procurement\nPromote compliance with procurement standards, internal controls, anti-bribery and anti-corruption expectations, privacy requirements, quality obligations, and applicable local laws.\nEnsure appropriate due diligence, conflict-of-interest management, competitive bidding, approvals, and audit-ready recordkeeping.\nEnsure sourcing activities are conducted in accordance with Corporate Purchasing Policy & Procedure requirements.\nEnsure appropriate third-party risk management requirements are addressed in collaboration with the relevant functions.\nSupport internal and external audits and execute remediation actions within agreed timelines.\n7. Leadership & Continuous Improvement\nLead, coach, and develop procurement colleagues where applicable, with clear objectives, role clarity, feedback, and development plans.\nCreate a service-oriented culture based on accountability, collaboration, speed, and sound judgement.\nBuild procurement capabilities across direct materials, indirect categories, strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management.\nSimplify processes, improve user experience, strengthen controls, and expand data-driven decision-making.\nIdentify opportunities for cost optimization, demand management, supplier consolidation, process simplification, and sourcing efficiency.\nContribute to regional or global procurement initiatives and share best practices across markets.\nCandidate Profile\nEducation & Professional Background\nBachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is an advantage.\n5 to 10 years of progressive experience in direct and/or indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or related operations, including leadership of complex negotiations and cross-functional projects.\nExperience in regulated pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors; multinational experience is preferred.\nDemonstrated understanding of direct materials procurement and indirect categories, preferably within a manufacturing/site environment.\nExperience with technical/site categories such as CAPEX, Engineering, MRO, facilities, logistics, or professional services is an advantage.\nWorking knowledge of Purchase-to-Pay processes, contracting, supplier management, internal controls, and ERP or e-procurement systems.\nStrong understanding of supplier risk management, competitive sourcing, commercial negotiation, and Total Cost of Ownership principles.\nProfessional proficiency in English and French;
