You will work closely with data scientists, statisticians, software engineers, domain experts, and business stakeholders to transform complex scientific and operational data into practical, production-ready AI solutions.\nAs part of the R&D organization, the team also contributes to applied research, providing opportunities to contribute to scientific publications and conference presentations.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and deploy Generative AI applications using modern LLM frameworks and technologies.\nBuild retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines for enterprise knowledge retrieval.\nDevelop agentic workflows for document processing, scientific applications, and research support.\nIntegrate AI services and third-party APIs into enterprise platforms and production-ready applications.\nBuild reliable, maintainable Python applications and services around AI capabilities.\nExperiment with AI-assisted software development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub, and internal Pfizer tools, to accelerate application development.\nEvaluate emerging AI models, tools, and frameworks and assess their applicability to real-world use cases.\nContribute to applied research projects, including scientific publications and conference submissions.\nCollaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business and scientific needs into effective AI solutions.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative or technical field.\nRelevant industry, academic, or research experience in software development, machine learning, data science, or AI (e.g., BSc with ~3 years of experience or MSc with ~1 year).\nProgramming in Python.\nWorking knowledge of core Generative AI concepts and architectures, including LLMs, RAG, and AI agents.\nAbility to independently develop and iterate on technical prototypes and turn ideas into working solutions.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with some of the following:\nREST API design and integration.\nReact or other modern front-end frameworks.\nVector & SQL databases.\nGit and GitHub development workflows.\nLinux environments.\nAWS or another major cloud platform.\nLLM evaluation, observability, or testing.\nDocker and containerized applications.\nScientific, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments.\nWhat We Value\nAccountability - You take ownership of your work and, with appropriate support and context, can turn ideas into working prototypes and solutions.\nAdaptability - Generative AI is evolving quickly.
