This individual is responsible for material handling in a production environment, packing, palletizing finished product, shipping & receiving. Other responsibilities include adhering to all safety guidelines, cleaning & sanitization of equipment, quality standards/procedures, continuous improvement, housekeeping, 5 S’s, SQF and Good Manufacturing Practices.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nSafety - Must strictly adhere to the following:\nLockout/Tagout procedures and policy (LO/TO) \nForklift/pallet jack procedures \nEquipment operation processes and procedures\nErgonomics\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and usage \nWorking at heights processes & procedures\nImmediately report safety concerns or accidents\nCleaning & Sanitization (C&S) \nPerform required C&S\nEnsure C&S schedules are met 100%\nComplete documents to track C&S schedules\nQuality Assurance \nComplete all in-process quality checks and document\nInsure correct and sequence raw material additions for compliance\nEnsure LOT & BATCH coding is 100% compliant\nEnsure compliance with FDA regulations and GMP guidelines\nRaw material & product storage handling\nAttend yearly HACCP, Allergen Management, Food Defense, and Food Fraud training\nAdhere to SQF code guidelines\nProduction \nBe able to operate all equipment\nIdentify equipment issues and provide resolution\nFollow production schedules and procedures\nOrder materials, supplies, and equipment\nRecord production data\nStrict cleaning & 5 S adherence \nOther Tasks\nMaintain product food safety to meet and exceed the standards set by the company and its customers through Good Manufacturing Practices and company policies.\nEnsure day-to-day production requirements are met \nOperate equipment in a safe and efficient manner\nMaintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping initiatives\nResponsible for quality in all aspects of production\nAssist in developing and updating SOPs for safety, quality, C&S, and operations\nMaintain inventory levels and control flow of product\nAdhere to all company & facility policies\nAbility to operate in a continuous improvement environment \nFollow rejection and disposal process for product \nWork with team regarding commissioning, validation, and startup of new equipment \nPerform all other duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nMinimum 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred \nComputer skills, including familiarity with ERP systems, is preferred \nPositive attitude with a strong teamwork approach\nGood mathematic skills \nMust be able to manage time \nSelf-motivated with good work ethic\nProblem solving and troubleshooting skills\nAbility to adjust to a changing work environment\nMust be detail oriented and documentation skills \nWORKING CONDITIONS\nWork is performed in a general food production and manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise, ingredient and finished product dust and residues.\nSeveral food allergens are present in the facility and used daily.\nUniforms with long pants, long sleeve shirts, and closed toed shoes are required along with hair and beard coverings.
