The SQL Power BI Analyst works closely with the Lead Data Analyst and business stakeholders to write optimized SQL queries, construct star-schema data models, build complex DAX measures, and enforce data accuracy across internal and external reporting platforms.\nSpecific responsibilities\nData Visualization & Reporting\nDesign, construct, publish, and maintain visually compelling, intuitive Power BI dashboards and executive reports.\nEstablish standardized visual layouts and user-friendly interface designs that facilitate data exploration for non-technical users.\nMaintain and refresh existing enterprise reports, optimizing performance and query speeds.\nSQL Querying, Data Modeling & ETL\nWrite, test, and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to extract and transform data from relational databases and data warehouses.\nConnect Power BI to diverse data sources, utilizing Power Query and Power Automate for robust Data Transformation and Data Cleaning (ETL).\nDevelop robust relational data models within Power BI, utilizing star schemas, relationships, and advanced DAX measures/calculated columns.\nStakeholder Collaboration & Technical Analysis\nGather and refine reporting requirements from business units (Logistics, Sourcing, Finance, QA), translating them into functional technical specs.\nConduct variance analysis, trend modeling, and KPI tracking to support operational efficiency initiatives.\nAssist users across the organization by providing technical training and documentation on published Power BI reports.\nData Integrity & Governance\nConduct rigorous testing and validation of data outputs to ensure full accuracy before deploying dashboards.\nAlign data structures with PFSCM’s overall Data Governance Framework and security access policies.\nTroubleshoot reporting errors, broken data feeds, or calculation discrepancies promptly.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nProfessional and Technical Knowledge\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.\n4+ years of dedicated hands-on experience in BI development, data visualization, and database querying.\nExpert-level proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Desktop & Service), DAX, and Power Query.\nAdvanced SQL skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL, T-SQL) with demonstrated ability to query large relational databases efficiently.\nApplication of AI in reporting.\nSolid understanding of relational database design, star schemas, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing principles.\nExperience with supply chain, logistics, or ERP data environments is a strong advantage.\nMust be eligible to work in the Netherlands.\nInterpersonal skills/Communication \nExcellent verbal and written English skills, with the ability to explain technical dashboard features clearly.\nPriority Setting, Problem Solving, & Detail Orientation \nStrong problem-solving skills and rigorous attention to detail.\nAbility to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.\nDisclaimer:\nPFSCM is committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all qualified applicants and employees and to fostering a workplace free from discrimination.
