This position plays a critical role in maintaining reliable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure while improving operational efficiency through automation, engineering support, and disciplined operational practices.\nThe successful candidate will provide hands-on infrastructure support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and automation across enterprise environments. This role combines traditional infrastructure operations with modern automation practices, requiring strong technical fundamentals, operational awareness, and the ability to resolve complex issues in a secure, mission-critical environment.\nThe DevOps Storage Engineer will work closely with engineering, security, operations, and field teams to support infrastructure reliability, execute approved changes, improve operational workflows, and maintain service availability.\nThis position also includes technical leadership responsibilities, including mentoring engineers, establishing operational standards, contributing to engineering decisions, and supporting infrastructure design and improvement initiatives.\nThe ideal candidate brings experience in enterprise infrastructure operations, technical troubleshooting, automation, and team coordination, along with the ability to work effectively in a classified environment.\nAn active TS/SCI clearance is required. Candidates must be able to work onsite five days per week in Chantilly, VA.\nKey Responsibilities\nInfrastructure Operations & Engineering\nSupport the operation, maintenance, and sustainment of enterprise infrastructure\nMonitor infrastructure health, performance, availability, and operational status.\nTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents, service interruptions, and performance issues.\nSupport infrastructure configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and approved engineering changes.\nExecute planned maintenance activities in accordance with established change control procedures.\nIdentify infrastructure risks, recurring operational issues, and opportunities for improvement.\nSupport reliability, resiliency, scalability, and service availability objectives.\nCoordinate with engineering and operations teams to maintain stable and secure infrastructure environments.\nStorage & Infrastructure Support\nSupport enterprise storage infrastructure and associated platform services.\nTroubleshoot storage-related incidents, performance issues, and infrastructure connectivity problems.\nAssist with storage configuration, maintenance, provisioning, and operational support activities.\nCoordinate with systems, network, and storage engineering teams to resolve infrastructure dependencies.\nSupport infrastructure changes, upgrades, and technology refresh activities.\nMaintain documentation related to storage configurations, operational procedures, and infrastructure changes.\nHelp identify recurring storage and infrastructure issues and recommend corrective actions.\nAutomation & Operational Improvement\nDevelop, implement, and maintain automation workflows that improve operational efficiency and consistency.\nUtilize Python, Ansible, and other automation tools to streamline recurring infrastructure tasks.\nAutomate configuration changes, operational procedures, and infrastructure maintenance workflows.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve repeatability, and minimize configuration errors.\nSupport automation initiatives that improve infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and services.\nTechnical Leadership & Engineering Coordination\nProvide technical guidance and support to Tier II engineers and infrastructure operations personnel.\nMentor team members and support the environments.\nFamiliarity with routing, switching, network connectivity, and infrastructure performance.\nAbility to diagnose technical issues and coordinate effective resolution.\nUnderstanding of
