Our team is committed to attracting and retaining top, diverse talent who share our vision of building a better, cleaner planet.\nJob Summary\nAs a Project Engineerat pH7, you will support project execution and early development initiatives that drive business growth and advance emerging technologies, including reactor- and heap-based processing for recovery of critical metals. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including project leadership, engineers, operations, external vendors to implement technical solutions, and ensuring safe, efficient project execution and that objectives of a project are met.\nWhat You’ll Do\nExpedite and review engineering deliverables to ensure alignment with cost, schedule, and quality expectations\nProvide technical input into cost estimates, project schedules, design strategies, and value-improvement initiatives at pH7\nSupport project management with technical input as required through:Commercial development\nStakeholder engagement\nRegulatory\nDesign\nProcurement\nConstruction\nCommissioning and start-up\nPerformance testing and close-out\n\nExpedite and coordinate technical reviews with internal and external parties, at the office and on site, as required by project management\nSupport cost tracking and schedule progressing\nSupport reporting for leadership audience\nSupport commissioning and start-up through technical problem-solving and punch-list resolution\nManage engineering scope changes and ensure compliance with pH7 specs, quality and safety standards\nEnsure stakeholder compliance with pH7 specs, quality and safety standards\nWhat You’ll Need\nRelevant experience in project execution, project engineering or coordination (3+ years). \nEngineering (Mechanical, Civil disciplines strongly preferred, Chemical potentially considered) degree or relevant experience.\nFamiliarity with chemical or mining extraction projects and processes.\nExperience in brownfield projects and implementing change at operating plants.\nAbility to work with multidisciplinary internal and external teams, including EPCM/EPC partners, and to apply subject-matter expertise effectively.\nHow You’ll Stand Out\nExperience in project development is an asset.\nCurrent registration in good standing with EGBC as a professional engineer or EIT is preferred but not required.\nSelf-motivation and efficiency in time management and organizational skills.\nAbility to identify and reduce risk in technical solutions, and implement them in day-to-day project work.\nAbility to multi-task in a varied and fast paced environment.\nBasic mechanical and electrical aptitude.\nStrong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.\nCritical thinking when implementing project objectives.\nWorking Hours & Environment\nThis is a full-time, on-site role, Monday - Friday, at pH7 Technologies’ plant in South Burnaby, BC, reporting to the Project and Commissioning Manager. Most work is performed in an office environment. Frequent site visits are required.
