Factories, power plants, buildings, etc. operate the same they've operated for decades - because the controls programming is hard-coded. Thousands of lines of rules and heuristics that define how the machines interact with each other. The result of all this hard-coding is that facilities are frozen in time, unable to adapt to their environment while their performance slowly degrades.\nPhaidra creates AI-powered control systems for the industrial sector, enabling industrial facilities to automatically learn and improve over time. Specifically:\nWe use reinforcement learning algorithms to provide this intelligence, converting raw sensor data into high-value actions and decisions.\nWe focus on industrial applications, which tend to be well-sensorized with measurable KPIs - perfect for reinforcement learning.\nWe enable domain experts (our users) to configure the AI control systems (i.e. agents) without writing code. They define what they want their AI agents to do, and we do it for them.\nOur team has a track record of applying AI to some of the toughest problems. From achieving superhuman performance with DeepMind's AlphaGo, to reducing the energy required to cool Google's Data Centers by 40%, we deeply understand AI and how to apply it in production for massive impact.\nPhaidra’s ability to achieve its mission is determined by our ability to work together - as defined by our core values: Agency, Velocity, Craft, and Truth. We seek individuals who embody these values, as they are instrumental in ensuring our team consistently delivers excellence and fosters an engaging and supportive culture\nPhaidra is based in the USA, but we are 100% remote with no physical office. We hire employees internationally with the help of our partner, OysterHR. Our team is currently located throughout the USA, Canada, UK, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Singapore, Australia, and India.\nWho You Are\nWe are looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead one of the most important product bets at Phaidra: making Prism the connective data surface for the entire data center operation. It's the system operators trust for diagnostics and triage, and the layer executives rely on for operating intelligence across the site. Working closely with the CPO, you will shape and drive the strategy that extends Prism's reach from the floor to the boardroom.\nYou are bold and creative, with deep empathy for the operators on the floor who feel the pain first, and equal fluency with the executives who buy platforms. You spend time on-site and on calls with customers regularly, not just in research readouts, and you can tell me the last specific problem you heard from one. You think in systems and flywheels, not features. You are comfortable helping shape a big, opinionated bet and then sequencing the pragmatic steps that get there. You partner naturally with Engineering, AI, Design, and go-to-market, and you can hold a technical architecture discussion and a pricing-strategy discussion in the same afternoon.\n**We are seeking teammates who are based in Eastern or Central time zones (US or Canada).\nResponsibilities\nYou will partner with the CPO to develop and drive the product strategy and roadmap that establishes Prism as the agentic operating platform for the data center - spanning diagnostics, triage, and the broader intelligence layer operators and executives depend on.\nConcretely, you will:\nWork with the CPO to translate the platform vision into a sequenced, fundable roadmap, and drive it to delivery across teams.\nRegularly visit and join calls with customers to see Prism in production and hear unfiltered feedback, not just what's escalated.\nTranslate floor-level customer pain into clear, high-quality product requirements, keeping teams close to real operator context.\nHelp drive expansion along two axes - connecting more of the data center’s operational and business systems, and advancing our insight & recommendations and supervised & autonomous control offerings.\nLead the delivery of key integrations that connect new systems into Prism, closing the loop from detection to diagnosis to action.\nPartner with Engineering and Design to sequence and ship the platform capabilities that make broader, safer autonomy possible.\nSupport the expansion of Prism’s user base beyond the operations floor to new personas and buyers, including facilities and infrastructure leadership at hyperscale and neocloud operators, and partner with go-to-market and Finance on packaging and pricing.\nEstablish frameworks for prioritization, discovery, and risk mitigation; build high-quality product artifacts; coach and mentor other PMs, and help raise the standard for product practice - frameworks, artifacts, discovery rigor - across the team, not just within your own initiatives.\nOwn the metrics that define success in this role, including adoption across new systems and personas, progress along the insight-to-autonomy axis, and expansion revenue, and use them to guide prioritization and roadmap trade-offs.\nDeeply understand the product architecture and participate actively in technical planning, so the strategy stays grounded in what the platform can actually do.\nHelp ensure alignment across teams by clearly communicating strategy, decisions, and trade-offs.\nKey Qualifications\n8+ years of technical product management experience, including leading large, complex, cross-functional initiatives.\nComfortable spending significant time directly with customers or end users, and treats that time as core product work, not a distraction from it.\nTrack record of helping take a product from point solution toward platform - or contributing to a platform, integration, or data-surface product.\nExceptional ability to translate customer needs into strategic product direction and to sequence an ambitious vision into fundable steps.\nDeep expertise in prioritization frameworks and product decision-making under uncertainty.\nStrong technical acumen, including system architecture, integrations/APIs, and data platforms.\nAbility to influence at all levels, including leadership, and to align teams on strategy, decisions, and trade-offs.\nExperience mentoring and developing other product managers.\nExcellent communication skills, including explaining complex ideas to audiences from the floor to the boardroom, in an all-remote setting.\nAlignment with Phaidra's values: Agency, Velocity, Craft, & Truth.\nPreferred Skills & Experience\nDomain experience in data centers, critical infrastructure, industrial, or energy systems.\nExperience with forward-deployed or services-led motions and turning them into platform revenue.\nFamiliarity with operational systems in this space, such as BMS/EPMS, CMMS, DCIM, or ITSM.\nExperience productizing agentic AI or autonomous/closed-loop control.\nExperience designing layered or usage-based B2B pricing, and familiarity with B2B sales and go-to-market.\nStartup or high-growth experience with distributed/global teams.\nRelevant Systems & Technologies\nPrism platform and its knowledge base\nAgentic control agents\nBMS/EPMS telemetry\nMQTT and other industrial communication protocols\nData center operational and business systems (e.g., CMMS, DCIM, ITSM)\nGCP-based cloud stack\nOnboarding\nIn your first 30 days…\nComplete onboarding and immerse yourself in Prism, the strategy, and how a customer install works end-to-end today.\nSpend time with operators to see the floor-level pain and the diagnostics/triage workflows Prism supports now.\nDeeply understand our customer base and their major pain points.\nDeeply understand your partners across Engineering, Design, Sales, and Leadership.\nIn your first 60 days…\nDevelop an informed point of view on roadmap sequencing and pressure-test it with the CPO, Engineering, and Design.\nTake ownership of an early, high-leverage integration or capability, from requirements through delivery planning.\nJoin multiple live customer implementation and support calls.\nBuild the relationships across teams that you’ll need to drive a cross-functional bet.\nIn your first 90 days…\nPartner with the CPO to publish a sequenced roadmap with clear near-term moves.\nHave direct conversations with at least two major customer accounts to inform the roadmap and direction.\nLand said high-leverage integration or expanded capability with a live customer deployment, thereby moving Prism one concrete step closer towards the platform direction.\nContribute to an initial pricing or packaging experiment with a friendly account.\nGeneral Interview Process\nAll of our interviews are held via Google Meet, and an active camera connection is required.\n Meeting with Operations (30 minutes) - You’ll meet with a member of the People Operations team to discuss your background and cover the formalities around your application.\n Hiring Manager interview (45 minutes) - You’ll discuss your experience and technical background with the hiring manager and have a chance to ask about the team and role.\n Product Manager Peer interview (45 minutes) - You’ll meet with one of our Product Managers to work through a case study.\n Cross Functional interview (60 minutes) - You’ll meet with our Creative Director and VP of Engineering to discuss prioritization, requirements, and cross-functional execution.\n Culture fit interview with one of Phaidra’s co-founders (30 minutes) - You’ll discuss alignment with Phaidra’s values and mutual cultural fit with one of our co-founders.\nBase Salary\nUS Residents:\nTier 1 (Largest highest-cost metros): 180,800 USD - 248,600 USD\nTier 2 (Other major metros): 171,760 USD -
