The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that machines remain operational, reliable and safe, while minimising production downtime.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and associated equipment.\nDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.\nTroubleshoot CNC machine breakdowns and identify root causes of faults.\nConduct routine inspections and servicing of machinery.\nAttend to emergency breakdowns and minimise machine downtime.\nMaintain and repair motors, drives, sensors, switches and control systems.\nAssist with CNC machine installations, commissioning and modifications where required.\nEnsure machines are maintained according to required safety and maintenance standards.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and report recurring faults.\nEnsure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety and company procedures.\nAssist with general maintenance duties as required.\nMinimum RequirementsGrade 12 / Matric.\nRelevant technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Millwright.\nTrade Test will be highly advantageous.\nMinimum 2 years' experience in CNC machine maintenance.\nStrong experience in fault-finding and breakdown maintenance.\nExperience with CNC machinery, control systems and industrial equipment.\nKnowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.\nGood understanding of preventative maintenance practices.\nMust be able to work independently and under pressure.\nStrong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.\nGood communication and reporting skills.\nAdditional RequirementsMust be available immediately.\nMust be willing to work on a 3-month contract.\nMust be willing to work in Alrode.\nReliable transport to and from the workplace is advantageous.\nClear criminal record.\nContactable references
